Most romantic comics
So what do you all believe to be the top 5 most romantic comics on xkcd?
As corollaries to this question, I suggest the following for your consideration as well:
What are the best individual romantic comics outside of xkcd?
List a few quirky romantic ideas (ex. filling an apartment with playpen balls) or preferably something more realistic. Hmm i would still do that... ok preferably something more economical (ex. putting in your bdays into lat/long and going there to make out)
Before I even came up with this question I was sure it has been discussed before, many times. However, I searched the forum for a good part of an hour and didn't come up with what I was looking for. So if this has been discussed before somewhere that you know of, provide the link please.

Please, talk about Blankets. The article made it seem interesting.

This one, by and far. Of course, it isn't necessarily romantic, as there are other ways to interpret it, but it seems to be as much so as most of the romantic ones... and the theme of love conquering all, undiminished, the loyalty of keeping a promise thus made... I don't know, it's just always struck me as incredibly powerful.

Personally I see that as an example of the weirdest/creepiest behaviour ever and imagine him to be jumping out of the window in the next frame.

because wanting to spend more time with someone is -really- freaky behaviour...
I know when I'm with someone I like I just can't wait to get away from them.
All sarcasm aside, I really don't see how that is anything other than being really sweet.

I'd have to go for this one: http://xkcd.com/377/ .

"I want to change the earth's spin so I can spend milliseconds longer with you because I love you so much"? Seems rather over the top to me. I guess you read the comic as her being sweet, but I see it as her being absolutely serious. And that's... pretty weird.|Erasmus| wrote:because wanting to spend more time with someone is -really- freaky behaviour...

It's not like she's attaching a GPS device to his shoes to track him, or putting a collar around his neck so he can't escape (...although that would be kinda kinky...) Just for that one special night, they're together, the two of them separated from the rest of life's distractions for that one night. She's not looking to spend the rest of her life with him, she's not trying to stop the Earth's rotation, just slow it down so that they can spend a few more magical seconds in each others' presence.
Personally I find this comic as one of the most romantic sentiments I've ever seen. If a girl who I was seeing did something like this for me? Just... wow. I'd be a combination of silly/touching/romantic/so completely ridiculous that it would make me fall in love with her all over again.
Randall on a skateboard!?
<= This is my smiley. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My smiley is my best friend. It is my life. Without me, my smiley is useless. Without my smiley I am useless.

Re: Most romantic comics
I find this one kindof refreshingly honest - presenting the relationship as a much loved part of ones life, rather than the abousolute entirity of it (which always seems a bit creepy/sad to me). Though it is perhaps open to interperatation from a traditional all-out-you-are-my-everything-romantic sterotype point of view. Made me smile anyway, though took a while to firgure out (never was much chop at english at school...).

Given that this question is explicitly about xkcd only, no.

I always read it as someone spinning just for fun then jokingly making up a scientific and 'adult' sounding reason to justify a frivolous piece of play. She came up with the response on the spot as a snappy answer to a stupid question rather than pre-meditating it before starting spinning.
