IMO, it is their right to speak, or post such images. It is a damned shame that someone felt the need to respond to this violently.

What would the impact of the Internet Filter Bubble be on this?

If someone spouts hate speech and you are not there to hear it, does it offend you?
(If a tree falls etc...)

Especially if these things get relegated to echo chambers by the Bubble's effect on marginal viewpoints.
On the other hand, if the effect extends broadly, then who's to know if tolerance isn't in the 'marginal viewpoint' bubble?

No, but it hurts me by polarizing society, in that by reinforcing the validity of that hate speech in the eyes of the speaker, it makes it more likely that such speech will turn into action; whether this be at the voting booth or a chemical plant or the back end of a gun is irrelevant. Without such a protective bubble, the hate speaker would be exposed to adverse reactions which may temper his or her future actions, and perhaps even temper their ideas to begin with.

Offence is unimportant.

The issue is that hate speech can encourage others to hate the relevant group and worse perhaps encourage them to action. Both of which is very bad. You don't need to hear the hate speech to be a victim of hate based assault.
