I think this warrants its own thread. Or it might be deleted. Only time will tell.

This is simply awesome and I want XKCD to stay this way forever.

I love this "prank". It's even better than Youtube's.

Actually, I wouldn't mind if the site stayed this way indefinitely.

Zork fans should find a nice Easter Egg as well. 8)

Edit: And in a similar manner, any Pet Shop Boys fans.

Actually, that's a reference to Colossal Cave Adventure *pushes nerd glasses up*

Though I missed the Pet Shop Boy's reference.

I think I speak for all of us roots when I say... keep it this way. It feels so much more natural. Seriously.

Btw, add tab completion :]

I was hoping for a reference to http://xkcd.com/378/ as well, but it only recognizes the first two, not all 6 7. Still cool though.

Edit: 7, not 6 (nano, emacs, vim, ed, cat, magnetized needle, butterfly)

Lighting the lamp allows you to go through the dark hallway without getting eaten by the Grue.

Yep, that is accurate. Chromakode has a decent bit of skill and he deserves congratulations for pulling it together as well as he did on such a short schedule.

I just wish I'd given him more time, any lack of features is my fault for the late planning not his.
