Two Rooms, One Boom, and a Bang (a Two Rooms and a Boom game) is now in sign-ups. Minimum number of players is 11, but it gets so much more interesting with more!

On April 23, we celebrate Shakespeare's 451st Birthday. In his honor:

Shakespeare PyP Mafia, Part II

O for a muse of fire that would ascend
the brightest heaven of invention!
To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
the slings and arrows or outrageous mafia,
Or to take arms against a sea of scummers,
And by opposing end them?

This wilt be a relatively fast-pacèd game, methinks (mayhap 4 days for day, 2 for night, and, alack, the weekend doth count but half, unless there be need for extension…)

When thou addest thy name to this list, send thou me a list of three Shakespearean characters thou wouldst fain play. Send also the name of an emotion, which the humble mod wilt give to another of thy brethren in the game.

Most likely will all player have some sort of post restriction so as to enter the feel of the game, but these will not be onerous.

Players:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

'Tis sure that if my signing were delay'd,
The reason for it could not be but this:
I was engaged in work of postal kinds;
To leave my post would surely be remiss.
And so I say - nay, cry - with rapt'rous glee
I'll join this game at once quite happily!

Players:
1. Carlington
2. Sabrar
3. Echo244
4. jimbobmacdoodle (I will be busy for the next couple of weeks, so won't be as active as I usually am)
5. SirGabriel (as long as the game starts soon; I will be unavailable after May 20)
6. Djehutynakht (as busy as I might be getting, can't pass it up)
7. heuristically_alone
8. freezeblade (yes Yes YES YESSSSSSS)

Replacements:
1. crucialityfactor (can move up to actual player if it helps the game get started)
2.

Undetermined Dethy Variant

Since there seems to be interest (except in actually setting something up), here's a Dethy.

At five players, we can do a normal Dethy. At eleven or twelve, I already know how to balance the variant. Adam did one with 7 players a while back. In between, I'll have to see if I can find something that works without skewing too much. That might mean that people falling on the wrong starting spots might get cut out/bumped to replacements.

@mpolo - do you have an idea of approximate day length? I've not got the time to do a turbo (48 hours or less per day), but anything slower pace I could manage.

I think we'd try for something like 3-4 days per day and 2 for nights.

At it's base, it is a more logic-oriented mafia variation. All town players are some sort of cop, unbeknownst to themselves sane, insane, naive, or paranoid. The town players typically wait until they have to lynch to avoid losing and then by clever analysis of the existing results, decide whom to lynch.
