A silver lining to getting lynched D1 in the Salem game; at least I'm not involved in three games simultaneously. That would have been a lot to juggle.

I was thinking it's about time I run another game.

Probably going into signups in about 2 weeks time. Given that time scale should I run the annual secret santa or is it too early? Or does anyone else out there desperately want to run it?

Battlestar

Spoiler:
For those following at home

Chief Galen Tyrol

You are TOWN. Your win condition is to eliminate the Cylons.

As chief engineer, you are capable of manipulating the machinery aboard Galactica in many different ways.

Eavesdrop: Every night you can target one player to eavesdrop on them through the ship's intercom system. Unless they yell, you probably won't be able to hear exactly what they said, but you'll know if they said anything at all.

1-shot Reflector: Activate this power instead of your eavesdrop ability, and all night powers targeting you will be reflected back onto the player targeting you. Anyone targeting you will NOT be made aware that they were redirected (although depending on their power it may be semi-obvious). You can only activate this power once per game.

Possible Miller: There is a 50% chance you are a Miller, which would mean a cop result on you gives a Cylon or Scum result.

Safe claim: If you feel uncomfortable for any reason claiming to be Chief Tyrol, you can safely claim to be Felix Gaeta instead.

SO 50% miller is evil but have claimed it to avoid arguments later. Also feel my "safe claim" isn't that safe.

I'm guessing based on the rules and no mention that I can, that I can not reply to him. If I'm wrong, please let me know Adam!

I've decided to play Gaius as accurately as possible. It's not just a game of mafia anymore, it's a stage, and Gaius has taken the spotlight! :P

Edit: Fuck... I get it.

I can't talk back to him in PMs... Just like Gaius, I got to work my responses to Six into my normal posts/conversations. Fuck... I wonder if six can kill/injure me like she could to Gaius in the show a few times.

This will get very interesting...

Hm... Forbes just released another of their "Most Powerful People in the World" list. I was thinking perhaps people would be interested in doing a Mafia game using that list for roles (14 players would mean we use top 14, 20 means we use top 20, etc.).

Enders Game @vieto

Spoiler:
Well that just infuriatingly unhelpful :-p

Well my guess is that bignose can still sway players around so could steal me. Hence his ridiculous mafia claim as he's looking for the mafia so he can add them to his team. I have a vague idea that lynx has an RB but no idea where I got that from.

So Just_me hurry up and vote NL, then it would be hammer and then I cna shoot Bignose and we can put tormod's strategy in for him if he doesn't turn up.

Ha, leading a lynch on someone and using my own role as a possible role they have, and a possible role that should be killed. I love it.

We'll see how the masses respond to this. I may need to run for president if it goes well...

I wonder what Six knows that is yet revealed. Perhaps some clues as to the outcome of my final power.

Still need a replacement for my Resistance game (The Shogun's Folly) - please PM if you can replace in.

Shogun - please help! (Players and potential replacements cannot read)
Spoiler:
OK, here's the problem:
Tormod (confirmed town) has disappeared without trace.
Diemo (confirmed scum) has proposed a team.

With seven players, the team needs four ACCEPT votes to pass and four REJECT votes to be passed over.
Tormod and Diemo have to vote publicly with time for the other players to react to their votes.

Diemo has voted ACCEPT
Tormod will likely not vote, which will, according to the rules, default to ACCEPT as xe is on the proposed team.
All three other townies can be expected to REJECT.

If Tormod's vote is ACCEPT, the other two spies will vote to ACCEPT and will win the game.
If Tormod's vote is REJECT, the other two spies will probably vote REJECT, and the game will go on.

My dilemma - Tormod's current default vote is ACCEPT, because xe's on the team, but xe's confirmed town and would realistically never accept this team. So I'm in the position of either saying 'The rules deliver the game to scum, sorry," or "I'm going to act in Tormod's stead and change xyr default vote." I'm not really happy with either of these, and would appreciate some advice on what would be the least worst solution.

Shogun - Players may not read, but potential replacements may.
Spoiler:
I really need someone to step in and make a key decision. Any and all help possible to catch up with the game will be provided.

Shogun@Suzaku
Spoiler:
Unfortunately I read the spoilers because I didn't particularly want to play, so it wouldn't be fair for me to join. However, as far as Tormod's action - I feel like scum should not win because of such a technicality. As there is no reason whatsoever for Tormod or anyone replaceing him to accept this mission, I believe you should reject it for Tormod. Had Diemo been anything but a confirmed spy, then yes I agree town would lose. But not the way it is now.

Shogun@Suzaku:
Spoiler:
Diemo's plan was based on a technicality - that Tormod's vote would default to ACCEPT. If you previously said that's what would happen, that's what should happen.

Shogun's Folly:
Spoiler:
The plot powers this game were ridiculously powerful so I don't feel too bad about winning because of a missing player.

Also, Diemo should have passed M1, wam should have distributed powers on M2 such that we weren't totally screwed, and Diemo should have rejected the mission with lynx on it and passed the mission with wam on it.

I, on the other hand, have played absolutely perfectly. ;)

Battlestar Galactica PyP
Spoiler:
Smirks. Third on both lynch candidates. For spectators:

Number 6

You are SCUM, along with cjquines (Number 1 (Cavil)). Your win condition is to eliminate the Town and have at least one Cylon survive to the end.

Scum: You may PM cjquines – Number 1 (Cavil) – freely during the night.

Secret Message: You may PM cjquines once per day, during the day. He cannot PM you during the day, and you can only send him ONE (1) message per day.

Knowledgeable: You know much about the Galactica, having been undercover here for several years. You know there is exactly one (1) sane town cop aboard, and zero (0) cops of other sanities. You know that President Roslin is a Mason Recruiter who can only recruit town players to her chat; she does not know that she can't recruit scum. You know that while there are no spies who can read private messages, there may be a role that can determine whether private messages were sent at all. And you know that Chief Galen Tyrol has a 1-shot reflector power that, when activated, will reflect the night powers of anyone who targets him.

Crazy?: You may receive messages from Gauis Baltar at some point during the game. You don't know how or why, but he shows up in your head from time to time.

Backup: If cjquines - Cylon Number 1 (Cavil) - dies, you will take over some or all of his abilities.

Tag: You can target one player every night. This does nothing, but may confuse any trackers or watchers or activate any passive abilities.

Safe claim: You can safely claim to be Callandra "Cally" Henderson.

Almost bussed cjquines. Regrets reading the role message before the impressions list. Responded too fast. Completed most of the powers post, at least.
cjquines wrote:
About my vote however: there have been no reasonable pings so far. The most pingy would be Tormod, who hasn't posted at all, but even that isn't very pingy. I'd unvote if I could.

cjquines wrote:wam: claims 50% miller, weak-voted Xeno. Scummy.

Difference: Weak vote on Xenomortis. Blergh. Still might vote.

Planned to create a fake role as one of the show’s writers. (With Power: Underwriter.) Ended up with Cally. Enjoyed playing as her in the game. Shot a Cylon in the head. Fits well with the plan.
Fake Cally wrote:Alignment: Town. Eliminate all cylons.

Power: Executive Order 66. Kill the player with a majority of underlined votes. Activate this power during the day by posting
Execute Executive Order 66
on a new line. One-shot. Does not end the day.

Curses. Just realized the Town win condition. Assumed "all threats to Town". Hmm. Remembers Number Six acting rogue, right? Could be a Serial Killer. Or Cult Leader (with one other member maximum). Speculated Tom Zarek as Independent too. Demonstrated how non-Cylons hurt other humans. Good enough.

Misses you, Edit button. Feels nervous already. Appears more suspicious editing by way of post.

Back on-topic: @Adam H: Would posting

Battlestafia Galacticafia PyP
Spoiler:
Just noticed –fia on Battlestar.

Totally edited by way of post anyways. Preferred pointing it out, rather than letting someone else.

Secured third on this bandwagon too. Requests a related Secret Santa Town role. Roleblock someone by voting third.

Ignored free information yesterday. Begin Deduction Phase.

Laura Roslin – Mason Recruiter – bluebambue, Xenomortis, or moody7277
Galen Tyrol – One-shot reflector – Unknown
Helo – Unknown – mpolo
Gaius Baltar – Survivor or Moderator – Unknown
Felix Gaeta – Squealer/Miller – wam
Unknown - Sane Cop - Unknown
Unknown

Reasonings:
- Laura Roslin: Expects less content from day chatters. (Hates it for that reason.) Means bluebambue. Added Xenomortis/moody7277 as a possibility. Trusts each other too much. Recruited the other.
- Galen Tyrol: Given.
- Helo: Noticed him missing from Lataro's list. Never checked for more characters.
- Gaius Baltar: Receives messages from him. Why would Town send messages? Can reply to them, also. Cannot rule out Adam H either. Should not be the sane cop. Created a perfect test. Would not fail due to shadiness. …Hm. A Survivor cop? Possible, but probably not.
- Felix Gaeta: Dealt with communications. Knew security as well. Fits decently. (Called it "Squealer" for brevity. Learns if private messages are sent at night.) May or may not have that power, of course.

Wants to murder wam. Cannot guess the cop. Settles for the next best option. Hates to waste a miller, but oh well. Avoids Tyrol's (likely) Night One reflect too. (Assumes a Mafia Nightkill.)

Will hunt cjquines Day Two. Risked enough already. Attempted to mitigate it with questions.

Sidenote: Seems like good Town powers. What does cjquines have?

Spoiler:
Worried about cjquines getting lynched before the deadline. Yay voter apathy/second guessing. Might have lynched the cop, even.

Received a message from Gaius Baltar.

Gauis Baltar wrote:Hey number six, it's your old friend Gauis here. There's no reason to believe me, but if this message wasn't real - would you be seeing it? And even if you're imagining it, it's worth listening to.

I'm here to help you, discuss ongoing things in the game and potentially help you in other ways (not sexually, that was weird enough in the show - let alone via PM for a forum game).

So, things you should know. Number 1: I want you to win. It's not the only way I can win, but it's the easiest.

I know a few things about your role: I know that you are scum, that the power that allows me to contact you is called "Crazy?" and I know that you were given a safe claim of Cally. I don't know who your scummates are but if you told me then I would help. Again, I want you to win.

Trusts that. Still suspects the moderator. Asked them who they are. Guessed already. Wishes to confirm that. Omitted it here, in case of giving Adam ideas.

Note: Did not tell cjquines about responding to Gaius Baltar, power inheritance, or underlined votes. Declined to tell Gaius Baltar about cjquines. (Hinted at it, though.) Likes keeping some secrets.

Edit: Told neither about mason recruits failing on scum. Yay edit button.

Edit2: Could use that once-per-day private message in case of betrayal.

Battlestafia Galacticafia PyP
Spoiler:
Did not plan to draw anything. Still does not. Cannot replicate actual people well. Played relatively few shooters also. Deserves flair, however. Thought of something. Sufficed.
