There are so many negative possibilities with the CJ lynch that I'm glad my vote wasn't counted.
I'm sure I don't need to list them as many people already have.

Things I've noticed:

FoS Angua
For pointing out that if we don't lynch cult today we're screwed and then voting for the one guy who most likely isn't cult.
I'm about 80% sure she needs to die.

I like the angua/bignose cult theory but as pointed out, it's too early for kills without evidence.

Where I stand, I am ready to believe Cj is mafia but I don't want to kill him yet for Angua's reasoning about cult wins.
I'm not sure about big nose but I like the idea. No evidence to support it though.

Therefore,
vote: Angua

Someone has cast Bolster! (Not a mistake from quoting last votals)

Votals

cjquines - 4 - (Snark, xenomortis, lynx, Angua)
Stubbs - 2 - (USN, wam)
Suzaku - 1 - (just_me)
Angua - 1 - (Valius II)

Deadline in 43 minutes from now.

Votals

cjquines - 4 - (Snark, xenomortis, lynx, Angua)
Stubbs - 2 - (USN, wam)
Suzaku - 1 - (just_me)
Angua - 1 - (Valius II)

And that's final!

cjquines has been lynched and is dead!

wam had been running around all day, running for his life, or so everyone thought. As the night drew close, he turned around and did something to the missile as it came at him, and it was vaporized.

The Magic Missile following wam was destroyed!

As the people shuffled off grumbling, a voice spoke out again, with a light shining down on one of them.

Born of ages past
Eternal wanderer of the realms.
Spoken of in hushed tones of terror
Your soul, darker than night he seeks.

Shaken by this, they all turned in.

Night Four starts now! Get all actions in ASAP. Gonna give it 50 hours from this post.

Re: Multiverse Mafia Night Four: Death of a...?

Postby Lataro » Sat Aug 10, 2013 7:39 am UTC

Another night full of FUN occurred, as the majority of the remaining few huddled in their homes, awaiting day break. Again, a night filled with noise, but seemingly little results as they came out to inspect the damage. First up, cjquines was inspected and found to be quite dead, and a wizard!

cjquines is dead, his role is as follows:

Role: Evil Apprentice Wizard
Alignment: Wizardry Mafia
Flavor: No stranger to the art of magic, however, you have a ways to go. While others study hard to gain power, you realized the best way was to align yourself with those who have great power, and have the will to do whatever it takes to gain more. You are the Evil Apprentice Wizard.
Power: You are able to cast one first level spell per cycle. Your prepared spell list is as follows, read viewtopic.php?f=53&t=71196 for spell descriptions. All references to good and evil are reversed.
Level 1
Illusionary Missile, Bolster, Shield
Feats
Warp Spell
Win Condition: Total factional domination.

However, nearby him, another body was discovered! just_me was discovered, what was left of them. They had been torn apart and various body parts had been placed in a ring of blood with intricate symbols drawn around it. Clearly, dark magics had been at work here!

just_me is dead, their role is as follows:

Role: TVRBO
Alignment: Town
Flavor: TVRBO?! WTH? Okay, so you don’t lend yourself much to flavor, and are kinda a combination of a few roles from Silknor’s Openly Bastard game, enjoy!
Power: You are a Triple Voting, Roleblocking, Oracle. At the end of the day, if the person your vote is on is not lynched, they are roleblocked that night, and an oracle cop result is posted on them before the start of the night. Extra votes do not show up in Votals.
Win Condition: Eliminate all anti-town factions.

A grave loss for those assembled, but they had to press on. As they scanned the area, several of them started stretching exercises, preparing to spend the day running from a missile. As if on cue, one showed up, and started chasing StubbsKVM!

Someone has cast Magic Missile!

A magic missile is chasing StubbsKVM!

Day Five starts now! 10 alive, 6 to hammer! Deadline is 9 PM UTC -9 Daylight Savings Time Wednesday August 14th.

BigNose has a reprieve until Monday, as he has stated in PM to me he can not post til then, but offers the following post meant for the start of the day.

On holiday still.
Took mate to hospital.
Looking after child.
Post definitely from Monday.

I suppose I'll claim, with the missile chasing me.

I'm a CBJ- Cop/Busdriver/Jailkeeper

Night 1:
Cop: dimochka: town
Jailkeep: Aardvarki: you can check this, as the fireball aimed at him failed.
Busdrive: Snark and Xenomortis, as specified before.

Night 2:
Cop: wam: not town
Jailkeep: Angua
Busdrive: Diemo and Aardvarki(both died)

Night 3:
Cop: BigNose
Jailkeep: Angua
Busdrive: Snark and Suzaku

I got a "intentionally not getting a result" from the cop, so I'm assuming I was roleblocked.

Night 4:
Cop: Angua: not town
Jailkeep: Angua
Busdrive: Suzaku and Xenomortis

So Angua is not town. I hope she is the cult recruiter, as I succeeded at jailkeeping twice. I she is, then we're looking at 3 cult, with BigNose being one of them, I would say.

vote Angua
Stubbs - next time I'm scum I think I'll just policy NK you at the first possible opportunity.(Suzaku)

I agree. Which is my reason for not claiming earlier.

My extra win condition is to busdrive someone to get killed by their own faction.

I've seen a lot of powerful roles. That's Why this game is called multiverse, I suppose.

Hey guys,
Almost back got the point where I have good wifi again.
So gonna keep this one short.

Given that we have super powerful roles showing up (just me's triple vote and oracle combo and if we believe him, Stubbs' triple power combo), I would not be surprised if BigNose has some sort of anti-cop power as opposed to Stubbs being role blocked. Hence FoS: BigNose.

I was already voting for Angua and if Stubbs is to be believed (I believe him as he was right about wam), then that vote was legit so:
Vote: Angua

Quick post while I can, the cop didn't work because nothing works on me at night, so as long as I avoid being lynched,I am effectively unkillable.
I simply used my optional skill to avoid any night contact on me, hence an intentional non-result by Snark.

More when I can soon.

It's a busy weekend, don't have time for a longer post.

You have 3 abilities every night? That's pretty unbelievable - I'd like to see the flavour that goes with that (after the game, with spectral horror around, I'm not going to be asking people for their rolenames).

OK, that can be interpreted 2 ways:
Either Angua jumped, expecting the SCAN to show her as Indy, so a good job by Valius
OR
Angua and Valius are together and having pegged Angua and under pressure, her partner (Valius) sets up this scam.

However, having tagged Angua working with another before, I largely suspect it is the first option, as I don't think she knew what the SCAN might reveal.

Angua is certainly the centre of something, so:

Right.

Some quick stuff, then I'll go back and do some rereading and put up a slightly longer post.

I can confirm that I'm not a wizard, so the scan is correct on that score.

I also can't interpret BNs post - how does a scan on me affect Angua?

wam is still alive after a failed lynch and a failed MM.

just_me had an awesome and really powerful role - Stubbs has claimed a powerful role also.

Back in a while after doing some rereading.

I feel like stubbs is lying about at least part of his role, since three actions in one night seems op, as I've said. However, at least some of what he's said has proven true in the past, and I think if angua was telling the truth she would have full revealed, so I have every intention of voting for her, but if I do it now we'll be at L-1, so I guess I'll wait a while, unless people want to get this over with for some reason.

It would be really nice to get a lunch here since we're pretty confident and then focus on people like suzaku and other suspicious people. Right now, dragging this out, especially with the low contribution isn't doing anything much at all.

I share your suspicion concerning Suzaku.
I highly doubt he's the cult recruiter though, so he can wait.
Stubbs - next time I'm scum I think I'll just policy NK you at the first possible opportunity.(Suzaku)

Bah, time is almost up. Quiet day so far.

But seriously, another survivor claim? We should have lynched wam when he tried it yesterday, and Angua is now clutching at straws as well.

Also, people seem to have passed over BN's 'immune to all night actions' claim a little.
With his play so far I'm a little wary, but I will hold off on denouncing him until I re-read tonight.

Solely from the last couple days' content, I'd say Suzaku looks the worst for summarising rather than generating content, while USN seems quite townie for questioning claims and showing doubt. I will provide some more reads on D6 if I'm still around.

Vote: Angua
Hammer time.

And that is hammer!

Angua is lynched!

Flavor at start of day.

Get night actions in ASAP. Absolute deadline for night is Wednesday August 14th 10 PM UTC -9 Daylight Savings Time.
DS9, after being told the story and moral of the boy who cried wolf by Julian.

Garak: "Are you sure that's the moral?"
Julian: "Of course. What else could it be?"
Garak: "Never tell the same lie twice."
