What are you eating?

Postby Castaway » Sat Apr 21, 2007 2:08 pm UTC

So I'm sitting here enjoying my breakfast of two sourdough rolls with honey and a glass of limeade, while simultaneously posting here, when it strikes me that other people may be doing a very similar thing. This is kind of a game, but i figured that if "What Are You Listening To" can go here, i guess What Are You Eating can too.

So yeah, i'm eating sourdough rolls, honey, and limeade.

*nibbles* I've for a few Necco left, and in a minute I'm goin to run upstairs to grad a couple more sugar crackers--these really light, airy-crispy crackers that are really sweet and have (dur) sugar on them instead of salt that we got a tthe asian food market the other day.

For a drink, I've got water. <_<

I do this thing where I'll get up but don't get round to having breakfast until several hours later. So, I just had a bowl of fitnesse cereal (tastes better than it sounds), and right now I'm eating a granola bar. Also, I'll probably have a glass of water in a minute.

mmm, water.

EDIT: ok, this granola bar tastes of banana. wtf?

Can I tell you all about the best cereal ever (that, incidentally, I am eating right now) and how it is delicious?

Kix. Hands down, Kix win. You can't even argue this point, so don't try. Don't do it. Get some kix.

Are they from Subway? Because if they are, I know exactly what you're talking about. Them being the greatest things in existance and all.

Also: I just realised that I have a package of double chocolate brownie cookies in my cupboard. Hmmm.

Oh, man. I haven't had Kix in years. Brings back memories, that does.

While Kix are awesome, I'm partial to Rice Krispies, myself. When left unattended by a box of Snap's fiendish concoction I enter a sort of partial zombie state where I eat bowl after bowl without realizing what I'm doing. It's not something I'm particularly proud of, but there it is. I'm nothing more than a Rice Krispie junkie.

Is this turning into a cereal thread? Because wow, what a great idea. The best cereal, in my personal opinion, is Corn Pops.

My camp name from a few years back was "Dunks" because we had these rip-off Corn Pops called Corn Dunks which I ate fairly regularly/all the time.

Lucky Charms, motherfuckers.

Also, fruity pebbles.

Unfortunately, they don't mix well. Unfortunate, because they are each THE ESSENCE OF GOOD

Brie, tomato, cucumber sandwich in think brown bread. Cup of coffee (caffeine enhanced gaming).

Also, i really dont know why there isnt more subways near pubs, the few times ive had them after going down the pub have far surpassed any other. (Except one time where i managed to eat a £2 box of profiteroles, but my god were they nice)

Edit: On a related note, i tried black pudding for the first time a few days ago. Its like pate, with a bit less dryness than liver, ever so slight sweet taste but mainly savoury. Distinct taste, reasonably mild though.

Corn pops! They're amazing! I haven't eaten them for years, though. I don't think I've seen them in many places in the UK.

Also, Weetos. ...That is all.

I've just been out eating, so I had a ciabatta sandwich with chorizo sausage, tzatziki, fried potatoes, pesto, ruccola, vegetables, and spice-coffe.

Glorious :)

And naughty :(

Now I'm eating healthy stuff. Proteine shake and an apple. Yum.

It really depends on what's in the shake. Protein in of itself isn't bad for you, I'm pretty sure the body will only utilize 32g of protein in a day, or something like that.

If he's filling it up with fatty shit without working out to burn it, then yeah.

if you are seriously working out, and trying to put on muscle mass, it is good to eat 1 g of protein for every lb you weigh
i much prefer whey protein supplements to protein shakes.
its better for someone my age, and intensity (barely any)

Do I work out?

Yeah, I work out. 4 times a week, a minimum of 2 hours each time, weights and cardio (in that order).

And I drink a blend of whey protein and carb additives that are perfect in-betweens and meal supplements for gaining lean muscle mass. My brand is best-in-test all over Norway, and thusly quite expensive, but I figure it's an investment in my body, so it's worth it. I do keep a lookout for other brands I might like better, but whey is the w(h)ay to go :P

Parkour kicks ass! God, I wish I was that acrobatic... Unfortunately, now I'm getting to be less and less bendy, and more and more strong-y. But that's fine, I'd fall on my ass and hurt myself anyway. And Norway is not big on parkour.

Anyway, once upon a time, I wanted to do Capoeira... Wonder what happened to that ambition.
