The pit formation at Rage Against The Machine a few weeks ago was the craziest thing I have ever seen. I was pretty far off from the stage and as soon as they started playing I looked down to put my phone away, and when I looked up, mosh city.

Heeeey! Don't say that. Hard, solid rock music is good! It relieves tension.

'Hey there, Delilah' by 'The Plain White T's' - because rock is even better when you have some contrast to it here and there. Also, the melody gets stuck for days in ya brains.

I have to reiterate that "eeew!"

Hard, solid rock music and My Chemical Romance don't belong in the same sentence, but to each their own. :)

I'm afraid I have to agree with lart -- "MCR" is not "hard rock". "MCR" is... well, I cannot describe it without sounding incredibly rude, so I will refrain from that.

Suffice it to say, no, MCR is not hard rock.

And... umm... aren't you sick of "Hey There, Delilah" yet? I thought everybody was *over* the Plain White T's craze. Apparently not. :(

I'm going to be a snob about non-snob music. MCR's first album was better than the follow-ups.

As for their genre, their post-hardcore punk with classic rock derivatives. Their new album sounds like they want to be Queen.

At the moment I'm ob with Borodin's Polovtsian Dances. I played it with an orchestra ten years ago in Austin and now it's pulsing in my brain.

Oh, and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, and Muse, Black Holes and Revelations.
