It's been nearly a month, and now I'm going to record my own voice singing "I want to kill you, -ill you, -ill you, -ill you, -ill, -ill / yes I am gonna kill you, -ill you, -ill you, -ill you, ih, ih"

Then I'm going to break into Rihanna's penthouse apartment and have it play on loop in all rooms, so it can pervade her own consciousness for four fucking weeks. See how you like that now, you crazy, catchy Barbadian.

The last song to set up residence in my psyche for such a long period of time was Total Eclipse of the Heart. I had to undergo a DIY lobotomy (mental note: "Operation" surgical instruments are not as effective as the real thing) in order to remove that song from my mind.
Away, you scullion! you rampallion! You fustilarian! I'll tickle your catastrophe.

Skullcrusher Mountain - Jonathan Coulton.

Going around singing "you'll see the voices that control me, from inside my head, Say I shouldn't kill you... Yet." gets you odd looks...

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my heart.
And incidentally, stuck in my head.
"Alf Todd," said Ukridge, soaring to an impressive burst of imagery, "has about as much chance as a one-armed blind man in a dark room trying to shove a pound of melted butter into a wild cat's left ear with a red-hot needle." P.G. Wodehouse

I was going to create a thread on this topic but since it's here already...(yay, searching works)

"Lump" by the Presidents of the United States of America. It's been in my head for four days straight.

"She's lump, she's lump, she's lump, she's in my head..." Yeah, no kidding.

Am I the only one who thinks they sound like Offspring? :?:

Also, I ALWAYS have music running through my head, 24/7. Without fail. I wake up with it, I go to sleep with it, it's always there no matter what. Is it just me? I asked my SO and he only sometimes does. Is that a musician thing? :?:

"Is this lump out of my head...don't think so!"

The riff is stuck in my head, and there's something infectious about the repetitiveness of the beats and riffs.

"Anything Goes"

I always have something in my head. And even if it isn't running in the foreground, thinking about having a song in my head immediately brings one up. Most of the time the last song that I heard tends to stick, but that's certainly not the only way I can have a song going through my head.

Now I got Birdhouse In Your Soul stuck in my head. Don't listen to much They Might Be Giants, but that's on a playlist of musicotherapy my friend made for me.

Also You Know You're Right. I LOVE THAT SONG TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH. YES THE EARTH HAS MULTIPLE ENDS.

And I may have to think up an alphabet song for the Greek alphabet 'cos I'm teaching a class and when I use the tune to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star like for the English I ALWAYS drop psi. ALWAYS.

My Hips Don't Lie (Shakira)

...I don't even listen to these things. Where are they coming from??
