Ok I just saw this, and it was ridiculously sad. I think the most impactful part for me was the incinerator scene. Someone before said it would have been hideously hilarious if the movie had ended there, and I think those are the perfect words. That entire part I was just thinking of what the audience would have looked like if it had stopped there. I would have loved to have seen that.

Big Baby was incredibly creepy. Like Sid's toys level creepy. I thought they fixed the toys. They couldn't fix his eye?

Spanish Buzz was amazing, and "Hay un Amigo en mi" will soon be my ringtone.

Bumping this because we're (unsurprisingly) getting Toy Story 4 in 2017. Hmmmmmmm :?

Not surprised, considering how successful the franchise has been, and, Disney. I have a hard time believing that the fourth installment won't be disappointing compared to the first three, and almost certainly unnecessary considering how the trilogy came together and finished off.

Then again, Pixar is really good at what they do, so there's a chance they can pull this off, I suppose

I'm not sure how I fell about this. Toy Story was brilliant, watching another one shouldn't be a bad thing.

On the other hand, Toy Story 3 gave a nice sense of closure to the franchise. A fourth film sounds like over-milking the cash cow.

Hoping for the best.

Generally speaking. But then you have all the cars. They were cute, but not pixar's normal quality and if toy story 4 is just 'cute' then there is going to be a lot of disappointment.

I don't think the first Cars movie (or Toy Story, for that matter) was designed to sell toys to people. They just had an original idea where the people were all cars*, and carried it off very well. And then Cars became very popular for kids' merchandise. However, the sequel(s), and especially the non-Pixar "Planes" spinoff movies, were definitely designed to cash on this phenomenon, and the plots are weak to nonexistent. (Cars 2 is consistently rated as the worst Pixar movie by far.)

* - yes, the plot was not original, it was Doc Hollywood, but that was a great movie with a great plot.

Toy Story 2 and 3 were good - they had great plots (the 3 Toy Story movies are at the top of the Pixar ratings charts, along with Finding Nemo at 99-100% on Rotten Tomatoes) - but sequels in general don't... so hopefully Toy Story 4 (and the sequels to Finding Nemo and the Incredibles) are more like Toy Story 2 than Cars 2.

Oh, and they're apparently planning a Cars 3. Well, it's obviou$ wh¥, but I really wish they wouldn't bother. Cars was already the lowest-rated Pixar movie before Cars 2 came out, though.

Cars (the first one) was one of only two movies I ever left in the middle of when I was at a cinema. I found it to be pretty terrible.
