Inherent Vice

Postby Asmodieus » Fri Apr 03, 2015 8:52 pm UTC

Has anyone seen it? I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread made about this movie. Personally I thought it was fantastic, straddling the line between pulpy and sincere. It was a bit hard to follow the first time around and on later viewings I caught some things I didn't catch the first time but it was such a satisfying movie to watch.

Here's a trailer for those of you who like to know what you're getting into before watching a movie.

For the most part I really enjoyed it (the cast are fantastic too) and found it very funny, though there were one or two sections where the film almost grinds to a halt in its stoner fug. I love Paul Thomas Anderson in general though and I can see why the ramshackle pace would drive some people mad.
