Oh man, I'm back from the Gamestop Tournament, and it was a blast. I was out in the second round. But now I know who my new guys will be. They are Lucas (awesome), Metaknight (insane), and possibly Ike. I never realized how much power he has packed into that sword until now. Sure he moves like a brick, but he's immensely powerful.

Nine hours till release, where I am. I should probably go to sleep soon, because I won't be for a few days after this midnight.

Crap! That means no Zero Punctuation review for a long time!

I'll be leaving for the line in about five minutes. About 45 minutes later, someone will get their copy in front of me. My excitement is only quelled by the my delusion that it will be delayed again.

Once I get it, I'll probably break out into Sunshine of Your Love.

I've been waiting so long

Or the Final Fantasy VI victory theme.

Won local Gamestop smash tourney. Ike FTW (He does handle like Roy IMHO, but more managable)

Anywho, after X hours of playing, time for some sleep. Daylight savings doesn't exactly help with the transition.

Enjoy it, all.

RE: That godawful trophy:

Yeah....when we first saw it, I thought it was a joke. And it's not Gamestop's fault, it's from NINTENDO. And I understand why it had to be chuck-mote controlls, but it still stinks. At least our store had a fun release and tourny and everything went smoothly! (Then I went to a friend's house to play his copy of brawl with him for 4 hours. wooo! XD)

And Metaknight is so very win....I have a new favorite character for smash bros!

So annoying that I'm over in Europe and have to wait about 6 months for Brawl. It looks seriously awesome.

After about 5 hours of play, Im rather partial to Pitt. Ike just feels like a slower version of Roy, and I was never enough of a Ness fan to go for Lucas. Why did they have to set the release date for a week before finals? If im kicked out of school, then I'll at least beat adventure mode on hard.

Mmm... got my copy almost immediately after midnight, and played it till 10 this morning, at least. I unlocked something for having 10 straight hours of playing time. I'm about 39% through the Subspace Emissary, with various characters unlocked. No Sonic yet, as he has arguably one of the most stringent unlocking requirements of all (complete the Subspace Emissary). Actually, I've become rather partial to Zero Suit Samus. Something about her quick playstyle appeals to me. Her down-smash is downright stunning, as it were.

I bought it right when the store opened (at eleven in the morning, not midnight), and managed to get the second to last un-reserved copy.
So, yeah, don't expect me to ever post again, it's that awesome.
Stupid school...

Naw, I just skipped that one and plan on coming back later (Pit could do it...) Almost there... only two more fights before I get to the end!

He was the fourth character we unlocked, and we haven't even touched the story mode. Was an annoying battle because he managed to get the final smash token twice in the first two rounds. Guns don't kill people, people don't kill people. Super Sonic kills people.

It's fantastic...simply fantastic. The gameplay is so simple that even my girlfriend (played very few games in her life) could pick it up relatively quickly. But there's so much depth in it that my buddy and I (old Smash Bros. veterans) could find endless fun in it. It seems so well balanced and it's just plain old fun.

Everyone should get this game...

My Wii can read dual layer, but it loads really slowly and freezes about once for every 10 hours of play. I guess that puts me in the "can't read DL" crowd anyway. Once I get slightly bored of SSBB, I'll send it into Nintendo. They're covering repair and shipping costs both ways, even out of warranty! (this is why I love them so)

Bought it last night, been playing Subspace Emissary a ton and I'm still only about 60% through, and it's very very fun. (Fox for the win! His new voice is great as well.)

I'm surprised there isn't a Smash Bros Brawl Friend Codes topic around here, or am I oblivious?

I'm thinking of trying them out for a main ...

Alright, so uh... do we have a Brawl code thread yet (or if not thread, is anyone at least going to post in here?), or are we going to sit around all just gushing about how pretty and awesome it is without playing against each other? >.>;;

I think there should be a dedicated IRC channel for it. That way we could do instant matchups...

Use the stickied thread at the top. Here's a handly link.

Alright, my brothers and sisters. I have been playing brawl, and I must appeal to you for answers.

I would like to send a snapshot I took in game to a friend. However, apparently you need some kind of points to send this? What the crap is this? Not in the manual. Also, when playing multiplayer online, when I select stages, it says "one coin". Does it cost me in-game money to play? Apparently I missed a memo.

Love the game, but hates unexplained rules. If anyone can illuminate, that would be great.

What really irked me about the online service was how I went to the manual looking for how to get to WFC options and it tells me "depending on the time of day, options may be available". Wha? No criteria? No times? just total shot in the dark? For that matter, I've never seen anyone on the "play anyone" option in the WFC nor does there seem to be any way to start that service where I get a new custom map every day.

Don't shoot me in the foot if I'm wrong, but I've heard a hundred different times that you have to erase your data to get the WiFi options...I have them, and I started my data 9:00 PM after the game came out. All I know is I needed to do a system update before I could play Smash Bros., maybe a shot in the dark but could that possibly have something to do with it?

Note: I am not held responsible if the deleting data thing doesn't work...Do it at your own risk.
