The best video game quote is definitely from Half Life 2:
"Great job, Gordon, throwing that switch and all! I can see your MIT education really pays for itself." -Barney Calhoun

That or anything the G-Man says, but that's more likely due to his speech impediment than actual creative writing...

Eh, Barney's comment just comes across as tired, forced humour.

"Resonance cascade failure"? That's a triumph of writing and creativity.

Ron Perlman is who we believe.

Most of the Ork dialogue in the DOW games is hilarious for certain brain damaged maniacs. Do the intro songs for FOI and FOII count? I'd add the soundtrack for FOIII, but I flatly refuse to acknowledge that a badly made total conversion mod for Oblivion qualifies as a sequel.

Oh man Timesplitters: Future Perfect has some of my absolute FAVORITE video game quotes. Sadly so many of them aren't nearly as funny without the context and facial expressions that go with them.

Cortez and Jo Beth (in a miniskirt) contemplate the ladder into the shrieking abyss below

JoBeth: You go first
Cortez (observing miniskirt) Ok

One of my all time favorite quotes though is from the old RTS KKND when you upgraded a building on the Muntant side

"Building now smarter!"
Watch your back, shoot straight, conserve ammo, and never, EVER cut a deal with a dragon.

Yeah I knew it was from SM, just wasn't sure which boss. It's been a long time since I ran SM. The past couple alts I leveled past that range could not get into instances, although they finally fixed our server's instances last week. yay!

StarCraft's "En Taro Adun, Tassedar." I'm not sure if that precise wording was ever used, but it's the way I remember the signature phrase of one of videogaming's best alien languages.

The Soul Calibur announcer's comments of "This victory strengthens the soul of... [Taki/Maxi/Kilik/Cervantes/Voldo/whoever]" and "...was seriously wounded, but the soul still burns."

Loads and loads from LucasArts adventure games, but mainly Monkey Island 1 and 2, of course.

"Hey hey hey, let's go make some CRAZY money, are you ready? Here we go!" - then straight into YA YA YA YA YA

The narration of Rez's Area 5:
Spoiler:
Ages ago, life was born in the primitive sea.
Young life forms constantly evolved in order to survive.
Some prospered, some did not, all sorts of life ebbed and flowed like the tide.
In the quiet rhythm of the mother sea, life grew,
always seeking to survive and flourish.
Soon life began the advance towards land, opening new habitats.
A great prosperity came, as life conquered even the highest mountains.
Mass extinctions came wave after wave,
but empty niches always quickly refilled,
to once again prosper, grow and reproduce.
Someday the next great emigration will occur,
as we leave this existence looking for another.
The journey will begin anew.
I hold within me, the memories of all that has passed.
Who am I...

One for the so bad it's good just bad category: all of the final boss speech in Killzone 1, but mainly the line 1.50 in: "Don't you understand? You don't stand a fucking chance!" It really has to be heard to be believed.

From least to most favorite:

What in the name of General Patton is that FUCKING thing?!

Strickland, Crysis

The Hrimfaxi is going to dive in one minute, attack immediately!

Headquarters, Ace Combat 5
Also cool because the Hrimfaxi theme starts playing shortly thereafter.

Your hope ends here! And you meaningless existence with it!!

Seymour, Final Fantasy X

If it possible to survive in this cursed land, perhaps one day you can atone for what you've done.

Lord Emon, Shadow of the Colossus

How about some Alpha Centauri love:
"As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master."
-Pravin Lal

"What do I care for your suffering? Pain, even agony, is no more than information before the senses, data fed to the computer of the mind. The lesson is simple: you have received the information, now act on it. Take control of the input and you shall become master of the output."
-Chairman Yang

"Resources exist to be consumed. And consumed they will be, if not by this generation then by some future. By what right does this forgotten future seek to deny us our birthright? None I say! Let us take what is ours, chew and eat our fill."
-Nwabudike Morgan
To all law enforcement entities, this is not an admission of guilt...
