burning linux dvd problem

Postby Marvin » Mon Jan 28, 2008 7:27 pm UTC

i just tried to burn debian dvds with no success, i tried nero, everything went well, reboot, integrity check, failed
next i tried alcohol, same thing

the thing is that i remember having same problem with cds some time ago but can't remember solution, and i'm sure it wasn't the images, they were fine, and i'm pretty much sure they are ok now, i believe it was something with writing modes in nero/alcohol, but can't get it...

so if anyone has any idea, i was unable to find any help googling...

and i wanted my new debian todaaaaay

If you're unable to burn a dvd, try UNetBootin.

Try changing the write speed to half of what the burner supports. (When you're in the process of burning in Nero you can click on the arrow on the left hand side to expand the window and change the setting.) My burns fail about a quarter of the time at the max speed but almost never when it's at half speed.
