Coming up on 27. I'm planning to do a party for my 10,000th dieversary*.

Apparently I am now gifted with the ability to make references to things I've never heard of - the type of which I can't even discern. Is that a concert event? A video game? A rock band?

TV Show. Google is a powerful tool, and led me to:

See for yourself.

So according to that poll, I'm sitting in the most populated age-bracket. Nice to know.

18, just over exactly 2/3 of the way to my 19th.

Those of us who are 41+ might prefer to be listed at least by decade, though my position on the bell curve of the poll results is either awesome or depressing -- depending on my momentary perspective.

I just thought it would be a big deal because "Hey! You can get DRUNK now!"
I had six drinks since I turned 21 in mid-June, and thats only because I got a six-pack of something.
Turns out I'm not really a fan of alcho-booze. And now I really don't have anything to look forward to.

Yeah. I felt that way too. Less fun when it's legal I guess. :P Now though, 8 years later, I'm a regular beer drinker.

You know what IS worth looking foward to? Owning* a house. Which you may already - but my wife and I couldn't (comfortably) make it happen till about a year ago, we bought our first.

It's awesome, mmmkay?

*Owning == It'll be quite a while before WE actually OWN the house, but you know.

Hey hey hey, now, you can rent a car for much cheaper at 25! In fact, at midnight when I turn 25, I'm going to go to my local Hertz and rent a Buick for 35% less, just because I can.

its just weird how yr perception changes overtime. At 12 I thought 16 was quite something, and 30+ was old. When I turned 18 I thought 16 was so young and 40+ was old.

Now im 24 and starting to realise age is soo very relative. A 25 year old can ACT old, while a 40+ year old can act very young. My mum is 60 and she really isn't "old". My dad is a little tho, at 54.
And Im 24 and I sound like an 80 year old at times :?

15 here, but my classmates are 16 and I look 16, so I've always let people assume what they want to. This sucks, on the one hand, because that means I won't be able to drink in college (publicly).

However, it's so awesome having all of life ahead of me. (barring any gruesome accident)

Okay I was just being a bit of a prick there, but it was a joke (especially since I'm really sore right now).

I'm 16 not going on 17 until six to eight months from now.

And Artemisia, it's slightly funny that your mom is 61 because my dad is (he's old). But he has a kid your age (two sorta :s )
And oh yeah, I thought turning 16 would be a huge thing (it wasn't really).

Yep.
