Just found out today that I got one scholarship for my study abroad, in the form of 320,000 Yen. This is from the school I'm going to next semester. I'm still waiting on my school's scholarship announcement.

Also should probably mention that I'm studying abroad in Japan next semester.

Yes you should; it would be pretty strange to get a scholarship in yen when your college is in Estonia.
Yen is also awesome. It's colorful, not just green. We need more yen in this country; the only yen I have in this house has 'Got this from a dead jap -from Father' written on it, which in itself is both awesome and creepy.

Here in Canada our money is multicolored AND has pictures of kids playing hockey and a kid who was in my sister's class in 3rd grade.

Ïn argentina coins have pictures of important places and symbols, the bills have pictures of important people (presidents, etc.) and places or events...the problem is that the 100$ bill has the picture of a certain general/president that organized the killing of the natives so that "civilization" could expand...and the "event" in that bill is an army getting ready to do that ("the conquest of the desert" they call it, but its just a glorified massacre)

wait...this is the AWESOME thread, in that case...

cake is awesome!! Also, dreams! and chocolate! and kittens and coke and popcorn and the wind and the rain and the sun and the friggin planet!!! Do you realize how big the planet is??? And how small it is compared to the sun?? and the sun is still very small. Everything is small AND big at the same time and that, my friends, is AWESOME..

Every time a get depressed about something I come to this thread to cheer myself up :). this thread is awesome.

Shit that is awesome: the flu that has been plaguing me for half a week is almost gone. The battle was joined, and the greater man remained standing as the victor.

Also: I'm more than half done with mocks. The remaining ones are easy. Goooooood times.

After slightly depressing November and a belated thirties age crisis I'm glad I still find "Me" inside me: booked a flight to Paris with some friends, we are going to have a little spring holiday there next May. It's wonderful to have something to look forward to! 8)

I've gone more than two decades without drinking any beer.

Not actually strictly true, but during those two decades I've only had a few ounces total.

My new headphones are awesome.
I was afraid that since the speakers are so much bigger than my old earbuds, that they would be quieter somehow (Because my laptop wouldn't be able to supply the current?), but they're just as loud at 100% headphone volume and 50% of the previous OS volume.

The bass is stronger too, and most importantly, they won't make my ears bleed from having speakers wedged in them all day.
There's also some passive noise canceling because of the padding... When I type, some of the high-end frequencies are cut off, and it sounds weird...

Made a new playlist today. Just picking really awesome songs, not aiming for any length or anything.

When all was said and done, it came out to EXACTLY 60 minutes.

On top of this, while I was testing it out on my iPod, I put it on random and it was all basically in the most perfect order ever.

Went to an awesome concert starring the B-52's (and Mental as Anything and the Proclaimers) today... well, yesterday now, and got to stand at the front for a while.

Also made a decent pizza sub earlier: pizza sauce, baby spinach leaves, feta, sun-dried tomato, olives, mozzarella.

I found a book of music with a few arrangements by The Beatles in it... Coincidentally, I was accepted to play at a concert with musicians from other high schools in January. I have officially found the best conversation starter in the history of the Milky Way galaxy. I think.

This morning Sick Boy is feeling better and his fever is down! Either he's recovering from mono very quickly all on his own, or he had strep and I was right to badger the doctor for penicillin! He's had some moments of feeling better before, so I don't want to jinx it, but I'm really happy that he's doing better!

If I'm really lucky, we may get through this without me getting sick.

I am making my drop spindle so I can try spinning the angora wool I just clipped from my French Angoras! :) If making my drop spindle doesn't work, that's okay. I ordered a drop spindle, niddy noddy, and nostepinne from a fiber shop place that should be here next week I can use instead. Just slightly worried, because I knew that a top whorl was best for angora spinning, but after I ordered I found out a 1 oz or less weight spindle is best for angora, and the set I got actually has two, one is about 1.5 oz and other is 2 oz. so they are on the heavy side. Hence my attempt at making one.

Garage doors are awesome. Not only do they allow you to park in a properly cooled/heated environment, it's that there's something very steampunk-ish about them.
They're big segmented doors on metal rails driven by a small but powerful motor (with the power of about half a horse, no less)! AND they are remote controlled! How awesome is that.
I think if I could have a small garage door as a front door, I would.

I have a can of awesome sitting next to me right now. It keeps all three of my cats out of the Christmas tree, no small feat, without using anything which stains badly. It smells a bit rank, though, but I'm apparently the only one who can smell it.

Oh! Dude, that would be pretty awesome, except that I'd want big metal/wooden doors like the ones in the halls of castles, the big ones that take like 5 men to push open. And then they'd open and the steam would come out, and it'd be all woah!

What exactly is in this can of awesome, if you don't mind me asking? I have to watch my cats every second and put them in a separate room when I'm gone to keep them from knocking down my tree.
There is no method to my madness.
