Correlation, sure. But since correlation doesn't imply causation, it must be that correlation implies lack of causation so he should continue skipping lectures.

I might have skipped a few formal logic lectures myself.

Now that I'm taking a formal logic course, reading SB and N&A has become a lot more interesting.

I discovered today that question 7 on the biology midterm I took Sunday does not stop at letter E. It, in fact, goes to letter K.

There goes my bio grade.

Goddammit.

Keeping a level head in political arguments is not fun. Especially when your opponents have degenerated to the level of personal attacks and insults. I'm trying to keep the moral high ground but I'm am increadibly tempted to call the lot of them self-absorbed, Tory twats who's concept of justice is nonexistant and whos political views amount to "but what beenfits me the most?". Not only that, but they're too thickheaded to see that their arguments benefit them the least. I'm seriously wondering wether they are actually that stupid or if they're just running this campaign because they don't like the other campaign's team.
Ah, that's better. After ranting here I hopefuly won't say that to their faces now.

Already have, but I was actually talking about my Student's Union referrendum that's taking place tomorrow. Same deal though: Tories using misinformation, speculation and scare tactics to try and make people vote "No" to a referrendum that will benefit everyone.

But it won't benefit everyone. I can already think of one group of people who will be worse off if AV is implemented.

Spoiler:
Tory MPs.

So anyway, I'll be voting Yes.

Me and Jumble? I used to have a springer spaniel avatar, and Jumble still does.

I actually have avatars set to not display at the moment. Makes it marginally less obvious that I'm browsing a forum at work.

Insult. On the picture I edited it was originally just the middle finger, but I changed it to the V to make it more British (cue "God Save The Queen" and roll out the tea)

I'm angry at not having started reading and being more open-minded sooner and being subjected to such a terrible education system. I don't know what the hell I'm interested in, and I have a small amount of time to explore because I have a plethora of busy-work and studying that needs to get done. Open to other rants regarding the same topics or suggestions...

Dear Most Annoying Co-Worker on the Face of the Planet,

Just because you eavesdrop on my personal conversations, no matter how many times I've asked you not to do that, it does not mean you then get to use the information you acquire to follow me around all day trying to get even more details about whatever it is. I understand that you're a gossip hound and you need to be in everyone's business but I didn't discuss it with you in the first place for a reason. I've been spending a year trying to get you to understand that I don't want to discuss my personal life with you, EVER.

Please just leave me alone and let me work in peace. Please be an adult and understand that just because I've become close with other people here, it does not mean that you and I are close friends. Relationships, especially with me, are not automatic. It takes time to build them. It creeps me out when you act like we're BFF and you come up with little pet names for me.

And I wish I could tell this all to your face so that we could actually resolve this problem, but every time I try to gently explain where I'm coming from, you run to our boss and cry about how horribly mean I am. So I'll continue to hold my tongue until I go insane. Yay.

If she can run to your boss, you can also go to your boss and explain this issue, right? Some mediation for this interpersonnel problem might not be amiss.
