Well, since Plato was a heathen philosopher, I'm sure your paper would be a lot easier after you meet him there.

Good point. That makes the list:

Things to do before I die
1) Turn off that damn music playing in the next room
2) Survive a zombie attack
3) Go to hell and punch Plato
All is well. We are not like the others.

You plan on going to hell before you die?

Good luck sneakin' in.

Well, then.

Good luck sneaking back out after you punched Plato so then you can live some life before you die "for reals".

I will puke in a socket in order to join and help you in your noble quest.

Confession: I enjoyed it at least a little when I told the man at the desk in the U's Residence Life Office that I wanted to talk about a "security incident" and he got an alarmed, trying-to-figure-out-how-serious, sweet-christ-the-liability look on his face.

Last year we had a guy stand outside shower stalls in girls bathroms. And just a few days ago a man was asking female studnts to be his concubines.

First one? Scary, creepy, I would probably take that straight to whatever higher authority that was available. Second one? Sounds more like the crude activities of a clueless jackass, and I'd probably just go yell at whoever was doing it even if it wasn't directed at me.

I wonder, what do you think is the longest amount of time spent on one topic in this thread?

Are you counting recurring topics? Or contiguous spans of topicality?

I imagine if you went through and picked out all the posts on, say, "Fess: I feel insecure about my relationship with someone I know" that you'd get a pretty long list.

I mean in continuity. And not just on a normal fess. I do not think there is 1 page, that is all about the same topic (besides the topic of fess's)

So I did sleep, for about 2 hours, and after having a cinematic, happy, yet personally depressing dream, I think I'm finally ready to study. The dream... it made me feel responsible.

The issue wasn't the content of the dream per se - it's pretty damn easy to interpret. The problem is that the interpretation is far too revealing about me. Anyway, I'm over it, now. Back to my usual issues.

Confession: The main reason I don't engage in gossiping about/insulting other people behind their backs, and choose to disassociate myself from people who do engage in that activity, is not because it's mean and wrong. That figures into it, but isn't what's on my mind when I see it happening. It's because I know they're likely to do the same for me.

You are no such thing. I do not know you very well, but you can't be a horrible person, because you said that you think you are a horrible person. Horrible people don't see themselves as horrible, most of the time, so if someone thinks they're a horrible person for <verb>, then they're probably wrong.

It makes you lonely and self-depreciating. The good thing is that people you've lost contact with can be reconnected with, if you're willing to try.
