That would be weird. Also, someone luckily provided another video, to soothe my jangled nerves. That'll do fine.

Surely you meant to link here. Though for that particular video, this is almost more amusing.

Eh. I'm still not finding YS funny at the moment. It'll probably take a while before I'm amused by it again. FYI, if you want to know my personal limit for the Benny Hill Effect, it was the bombing scene from that anime of Hiroshima... to yakety sax.

On February 5, 2009, Universal Pictures announced plans to film a movie based on the popular Candy Land board game. Etan Cohen, a writer on both Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Tropic Thunder, has been hired to write the screenplay. Kevin Lima, of Enchanted, will direct.

Also about to happen - an Atlas Shrugged movie. I suppose it was inevitable. I'll laugh if it bombs at the box office.

Look, say what you will about an Atlas Shrugged movie, but it least it has a plot. Candyland? What the hell?

If they can add a plot to Tetris, they can add one to Candyland. At least that franchise actually has characters to work with...

I hope the opening shot starts zoomed in on a deck of cards being shuffled and pulls out to a g-man in a dark suit who puts the deck down and says, "The events have now been determined and have no chance of varying from their predetermined path. Attempt to believe the participants have free will as you observe the events unfolding."

But in the book the idea was to pay and receive a fair price for your labor - not "screw everyone else, I'll steal what I want". That was(is) more the government stance.

Hopefully you won't go here just now, or at least not to Stockholm. There's this dismal royal wedding this week (Saturday, I think) that means that Stockholm is basically going to be jam packed with idiots, crippling much of the city's infrastructure.

Why would you send illegitimate children to Prime Ministers? Nothing make sense any more. All I know is that I had 2 identical messages from sammyboy11, extolling the once in a lifetime opportunity to buy up gold at 28 usd /10k. Lucky me.

I got that too. Same message, same username, also twice. I wake up this morning and see that I have two emails, both of which are "you've received a PM on the xkcd forums". This was very exciting because I don't often get PMs. I log in and find it was just some spam post submitted twice. I was disappointed. :(

Wow indeed. That's actually kind of touching, in a way. The innocence of youth and all, reaching across cultural/technological boundaries.

Reminds me of William Gibson's Spook Country, which I'm currently reading. Characters have devised a method of sending text messages approximating Cyrillic figures while using American alpha-numeric phone keypads. It's basically a new, hybridized language, requiring great skill to read and translate. I think it's fascinating.
