Last night I had a nightmare that I accidentally cut some knitting up.

I went to see the X Files movie today. It was pretty slow, but quite decent. Worth the $6 my Dad paid to go see it. If it was in the chuck-out bin, I'd buy the DVD for $5.

Random thought: If I push my big toe down far enough and hold the muscle, it 'jams' and begins to cramp up really painfully. Like pouring acid into your foot sort of cramp. I don't know why the temptation to do so is so strong. Probably because it floods with natural painkillers soon afterward. Very, very strange feeling.

Yeah, based on the trailer I would avoid the movie. It would take more aliens and less "YOU MUST BELIEEEEEVE" for me to go see it.

Ugh. I hate this computer.

My mouse just gave up the ghost, so ive resorted to scrolling around on my keyboard.

shortly after, i accidently hit the keyboard shortcut my girlfriend set up to "Change everything to Chinese, and put all input through a pinyin translator, just to be a cunt about it"

Of course, i don't know what keys i pressed. So im flailing around in the control panel trying to figure out what the fuck is going on.

GAH!

There is something wrong with my eyes, and I don't know what. For the past few nights, every time I've woken up in the middle of the night, my eyes have felt heavy and sore, and I have had difficulty getting back to sleep. And now, today, after staying on the computer for only an hour, they feel the same way, and it won't go away. Oh, and they also feel dry.

I have a suspicion that it's because I need new glasses, because I've also noticed my vision getting worse for weeks now, so my eyes have to strain harder. :?:

I'd say you're probably right.

I've never had laser surgery to correct vision. My eyesight is apparently too bad, and it isn't worth the effort. I had laser surgery for a hole in my retina once, though. That was a rather miserable experience. They injected steroids in my eye. Then a week later they injected light sensitive dye in my veins, then zapped it with a low intensity laser. It hurt a lot because it dried out my eye.
And I couldn't go out in the sun for a couple days.

But I don't know anything about corrective laser surgery.

You just need to give your eyes a rest. Step away from the computer. Stay away from the television and video games. My eye doctor tells me this all the time. You're wearing out your eyes.

Laser eye surgery is to be taken seriously. I don't know much about it, except that it's out of the question if you're under 21.

Hello again from Borneo in the early morning. Back in Kota Kinabalu again. Free internet access in the hostel and not being able to sleep means I've been on here since half five (currently seven). I tried to watch an episode of Avatar but this computer is really slow =\

Leaving fairly soon for the Tunku Abdul Rahma islands national park soon, where we will be camping and relaxing on a beach for two days (also learning how to scuba dive and doing two one-hour dives), then half a day back in the city, then the huge timeslip that is the flight from Brunei to Heathrow. We're planning to get back to Cardiff at around midday, so when I get home I'm going to have a bowl of wheetos with cold milk and sit in front of the television for an hour or two (there's no fucking milk in Asia, I swear! I've seen chocolate milk but it's not the same), refusing to answer any questions until the next day, at which point my bodyclock will be re-aligned with GMT again. After that, you, sleepygamer (yes, YOU) will be joining me for a session of either Gmod or TF2 or possibly both (maybe some Synergy) until midnight (seven in the morning by my current bodyclock). After sleeping once I'll be perfectly in tune with the timezone then, and this has all been scientifically devised (sp?) by my currently rather tired brain.

Well, I never get jet lag anyway. I just go to bed at nine or ten local time and when I wake up I'm fine. This is all just an elaborate excuse to not have to talk to my mother about my expedition for a bit and play lots of games to catch up.

RT: The things I'm most looking forward to about being home, in descending order
Milk
Breakfast not being either toast or noodles.
Dumping my stuff on my bedroom floor and not having to pack it up the next day (only three times in a whole month have I slept in the same room for two nights in a row)
Being able to listen to music properly (my mp3 player is broken such that only the left earphone works, and these are only cheapo tinny little things. I'm looking forward a lot to my big-ass Sennheiser (big ass-Sennheiser?) headphones)
Finishing Avatar: the Last Airbender
The Black Beast, my lovely contrary bitch of a computer.
Upgrading said computer to play Mass Effect.
A lie-in meaning staying in bed until midday, rather than staying in bed until eight.

Time for breakfast. See y'all.
