Is there any quick way to determine if a graphics card is broken? I installed OpenSUSE with a "less shitty than processor graphics chip" graphic card and it's constantly freezing after some time (on other distros as well). Runs relatively stable in safe mode though. After a while the BIOS told me it wasn't working (and Monitor wasn't working) when booting, but it worked again after I took it out and put it back in again.

yes, one quick way is to see if the graphics card is behaving anything similar to the way you just described your graphics card behaving. if it is behaving that way, then it's probably bad.

another would be to test with a different card.

Fitting bit for 11-11-11.... add the last two digits of the year you were born to your current age. Your answer is 111.

Born in 1986, I am currently 24. Answer is 110.

I think your formula has some flaws.

Well no, it'll work on and after the birthday. Which means for anyone born on New Year's Eve, it only works for one day of the year.

On your birthday you're considered to be 1 year older than you were the previous day, so yes it works.

Birthdays: yeah you are one year older on your birthday. But on the very moment your age changes, that infinitesimal amount of time, is the property true or not?

Ok. I have two options:

1. Kicking in the front seat, with Skyrim, which I won't have time to play next weekend.
2. Hanging in the back seat, with this weekend-only Star Wars: TOR Beta I've been invited to.

Which seat can I take?

TOR Beta.

By withholding on Skyrim, all you're missing out on is the dead guy money duplication bug*, and a crapload of game-crashing bugs. By waiting, they'll patch it out and you'll have fun.

You'll also get to be in the Beta for the Star Wars .. TOR... uh... Tacos On Rancors...? game which.. is.. fun? I guess?

Then again, those would have to be some giant tacos.

So yeah, play with the Mexican loving Rancors. Skyrim can wait.

*I refer, of course, to a bug in Oblivion. And Morrowind. And I'm just assuming the same bug exists in Skyrim.

Option 3. Grow a clone and upload a copy of your mind into the clone body. You do one of the games, the clone does the other. Afterwards, mind merge and destroy the clone. Just watch out because the clone will have exactly the same idea about destroying you. Could get a bit tricky, so you may want to install a killswitch of some kind.

It sort of reminds me of those "mathemagical" things that usually boil down to "think of a number, add 5, then subtract the number you first thought of. Your answer is 5!!!"

Screech: the go app I have on my phone is utter shite. Even on the hardest difficulty, I win about 2/3 of my games. The reason for this is the AI seems to think my groups are dead when they're not, so it does nothing to stop me expanding them. Then when I finally close the second eye (something which at no point could the AI have stopped me doing), it's like "oh shit" and finally starts to play properly.

More screech: The star Fomalhaut looks like the Eye Of Sauron.

Three Panel Soul has been around for almost as long as MacHall's run. (MacHall's Nov 2000 to Sep 06 vs TPS's Nov 06 to Present)

I still think of it as the new comic the MacHall guys are doing.

Improv Everywhere. is another good choice. The 'missions' tend to be a bit more involved, but have the same sense of playful fun and absurdity. Plus, they occasionally do the delightful meta-prank, and on at least one occasion a double inverted meta prank.

I believe mine is normally a mix of: D&D stuff (because the only channel I subscribe to is a D&D group); StarCraft videos (I watch a lot of day9tv); a few League of Legends videos; music videos - frequently metal, sometimes other genres, and various Rock Band videos come up as well; and video clips from British comedy/panel shows such as QI, Mock the Week, and Would I Lie To You?
