This is the perfect opportunity to finally clean my room. My SO is busy, my friends' mom horribly broke her internet, and there's just generally nothing going on.
So of course I'm posting about doing it on here instead of actually doing it. O:

Whenever I see someone angry in SB, I always imagine a large Russian man hitting his computer monitor and yelling SON OF BITCH. It's oddly cathartic.

I can't believe those stupid people that procrastinate by using a computer. I think I'm one of the few people that hasn't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever done that. Hey, I wonder if the Colemak keyboard is better than Qwerty. I better go test that.

On a similar note, I just realized that I'll be in Honolulu in exactly one week, unless it's delayed. I better check the weather in Seattle to see if the weather might cause delays. I'll do it tomorrow of course, so It wouldn't be procrastination. Right.

Сукин сын!

I like this phrase because instead of using the genitive case to show position (i.e. сын суки), it creates a short form possessive adjective out of the noun (сука -> сукин).

I love our IT department. They set up an email quota system to keep people from downloading large files from personal emails - obviously because bandwidth is so incredibly expensive that letting employees use it would be like pissing gold into the sewer. That also means that I have spent more than 20 minutes trying to figure out how the fuck to send a picture via email on my mobile phone, instead of it taking all of 30 seconds on my computer. Bravo.

Edit - now it's been 30 minutes+, and I just sent feedback to yahoo for having such shitastic mobile options.

This afternoon I completely shirked all of my responsibilities and the work I was supposed to be doing for my thesis, and built the Millennium Falcon out of Lego. I do not feel like this was a waste of an afternoon.

It's not a waste of your time as long as you made the appropriate engine-sounds and maybe broke its satellite dish off on a low-hanging door frame.

Engine sounds: check. I may or may not have flown it around in the lounge room, which of course at the time was full of asteroids, and into my brother, at which point the satellite dish fell off of its own accord due to something dodgy in the design meaning its only really held on by good will anyway. Time: not wasted.

Hehe, I think I made someone mad.

So, some person came up to my (parent's, but they aren't home during the day) house, and gave me a pamphlet on a convention or something or other about god. So I take the pamphlet and fold it, basically ignoring it (because it's going right into the trash), and mostly just ignoring her other than the quickest way to tell her to go away without sounding too much like as asshole. She notices that I didn't bother to even look at it and asks me "Are you going to look at that?", I, seeing a great way to get her to go away, say "No", and she has the audacity to say "Well, give it back".

I wish I had something to set it on fire with. But then, I'm a pansy and probably wouldn't have even if I did, and I gave the folded up paper back to her (She's going to give out a folded one to one of the neighbors I guess).

I hate it when this happens. A funny/relevant/interesting/thought-provoking web page is in your current tab. You should get back to the tab you were previously viewing to remark on what a good chunk of Internet this page was. Which one was that again? Oh yeah, you have 53 tabs open, and it could have come from any one of them.

I still don't get why Facebook has all of these friend-finding things. Can't you just search for people, or ask them in person to send you their profile?

I've always been fairly casual in the search terms I've given google, but lately I seem to be sometimes shifting to swearing. "why is this piece of shit software doing {whatever}!" etc. And it's been working to filter out the tedious non-relevant troubleshooting search results, so far, curiously.

That gave me a couple ideas:

1) Dress up as any other TF2 character. When anyone comments about how cool your <heavy/pyro/whatever> costume is, reveal that you're actually a spy.

2) Have costumes for different TF2 characters. Start out as the spy and change throughout the day. See if anyone catches on.

I'm going to an anime convention next month and I'll be joining a group dressed up as pokemon characters for a photo-shoot. I will of course be donning a paper Mudkips mask and seeing how many people pretend to be convinced by the disguise. There will be other masks too throughout the day.

Alas, my costume making skills are insufficient to make other tf2 characters at the moment.
