Mod Madness math

Postby Sizik » Sat Mar 19, 2016 3:37 pm UTC

Some equations whose truth values don't change under the filters.

four + 5 = nine

two + 6 = 8 + zero

four + six = 5 + 2 + 2 + 1

zero + one - two - three = - 0

Yes. And if wishes were horses, wishing wells would fill up very quickly with drowned horses.

zero + 0 = zero

seven + 1 = 3 + five

zero + two = 0 + 1 + 1 + 0

five + six - seven - eight = - 4
They do, however, change when quoted. (Though the second one is still true, which is kind of cool.)
Unless stated otherwise, I do not care whether a statement, by itself, constitutes a persuasive political argument. I care whether it's true.

It breaks after another, but now the next is true.

These comments are going to be weird when things go back to "normal".

These ones are cyclical:

0 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 =
4 + 0 + 1 + 2 + 3 =
3 + 4 + 0 + 1 + 2 =
2 + 3 + 4 + 0 + 1 =
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 0 = 10

zero + five + six + two + seven + eight + four =
five + six + two + seven + eight + four + zero =
six + two + seven + eight + four + zero + five =
two + seven + eight + four + zero + five + six =
seven + eight + four + zero + five + six + two =
eight + four + zero + five + six + two + seven =
four + zero + five + six + two + seven + eight = 32

637 - 416 = 221

Of course, there are a bunch like:
3 - 3 = 6 - 6
2 ÷ 2 = 7 ÷ 7

and also
6 + 8 ≡ 9 (mod five)
