I'd need to have it diagrammed.

You're surprised "diagrammed" is a real word.

Yes.
Spoiler:
I have four memories from when I was 2, actually, now I think about it. Some more solid than others.

First one would be around Summer 2000. I remember the layout of my old house. Big long hallway with red carpet on it. Stairs in the middle. My room on the left at the top of the stairs; my sisters' room on the right.

Second one, similar time: layout of my sisters' room. Bunk bed on the right, and there was a knex tower on the left. (I can't have known what knex was at the time, so "big tower thing" must have mutated into "knex tower" at some point in my memory.)

Third one, September 2000. My mum's birthday. I remember the big field on a gentle slope with our temporary home at the top.

Fourth one, late 2000: Another house that we lived in. Lots of moving houses that year. I remember the garden of that house, and the wooden archway leading into it. I think we had elderly neighbors but I can't remember anything about them.

I could go onto age 3 and age 4, but the memories would become way too numerous to count.

Ninjaed; answer to flicky's latest question is no. I haven't heard of it, but am not particularly surprised that it's a word.

Now you're going to describe your earliest memory :P

I remember the place we used to live... ooh, I have more memories than I expected from back then. Playing with a friend in the playground at school, having a story read to us by the teacher... nothing from earlier than when I was around 5 though. (How can you remember so far back?)

Annoyed at being ninja'd. :P

flicky1991 wrote:nothing from earlier than when I was around 5 though. (How can you remember so far back?)

Dunno, it just seems normal to me :| Loads of memories from before age 5... getting height measured in preschool (I was 110 cm; my friend Eve was 93 cm), playing with sandpits in reception class, correcting my sister's spelling when we were playing with brio trains and she wrote on the wooden blocks, the snowy garden in winter '02, bamboo huts, visiting the Lake District for my brother's birthday, flamingo land, reading lots and lots of books, asking my mum what the word "too" means, getting an IQ test, learning French, throwing an apple out of the car window near my sister's old school and hoping it would grow into a tree, running downstairs whenever I heard the washing machine, my sister going to the swimming baths without an adult when she was 7 (technically not allowed, but nobody noticed), moving house on my other sister's 11th birthday when there was no time to put candles on her cake, the old raspberry bushes where there's now a trampoline, my friend explaining to me what negative numbers where when she was 6 and I was 4, teletubbies, dreaming about teletubbies, waking up really early, dancing to those kids' cassette tapes, playing word games with my sister in the little hole behind her bed, my dad building a playhouse, that old frog-shaped paddling pool, building a play train out of chairs, our nice old neighbor Terry who gave us encyclopedias, climbing a big hill singing the kite song from Mary Poppins... the list goes on and on and on. And that's all before I turned 5.

Really sad that some people forget their early memories :(

You've moved house at least once.

Yes, 8 times, I think. But 7 of those were in the span of just over a year.

You like card games.

Nope. I have been on a 24-hour coach trip, though. Longest car journey would be a ~16 hour trip from Cologne to Yorkshire (including about 3 hours of breaks).

Ninjaed a lot. Nope, I have never been to Africa.

Ninjaed again. Maybe. I'm not sure. I reread the Harry Potter series once, but can't remember whether or not that was due to a new book coming out. I think there were only five books in that series when I first read it, and don't recall having trouble remembering the plot when I read Deathly Hallows.

Ninjaed yet again. Yes, I used to be quite good at maths when I was younger. e.g. got A* in my GCSE when I was nine.

ninajed  Yes, I think I used the word "b*****d" once when I was about eleven and didn't know its meaning

Congratulations! surprising to find someone with a similar achievement to mine on here :) I could have probably done the exam when I was younger, but it took a very long time to find a school that would let me do it. (I was homeschooled at the time).

Sadly I fell ill shortly after, lost interest in almost everything, and never got an A-level. :/
