Someone who types like they're not insane (even though they are (we all are)) ?

If we're all insane, then whatever we type like, it will be like we are all insane. :P

Someone who is as insane as bouer, or moreso?

Okay, I'm back, it took me this long to read (that thread grew crazily) Time's... "ending". I have now an accurate answer for RDJ's question...

ArDeeJ wrote:So I heard Time ended. How does it feel?

What do you mean it ended? It's still going strong and the pattern that appears after Th* *nd (this pattern keeps changing every hour) is still changing and remains mysterious! It could be a code for the hidden frames of Time 2: Only For One True Followers, or something.

Sorry for blocking you! I guess I overdid it, but I really wanted to avoid any kind of confirmation one way or another, that's why I stopped visiting this, the Count to a Million, and Forum Discussion Thread, but now that I know what happened, I can put an end to my self-exile!

How's everyone doing? :) Glad to see people kept predicting my return.
dudio wrote:ArDeeJ posted a spoiler about a thing that Vytron didn't want spoiled. Vytron was keeping up with that thing slowly, so was behind the times (no pun intended).

Yeah, it was the Spoilers of Spoilers! Because a core element of Time was that nobody ever knew if it would end or not! It could have easily lasted much more months, or even years! Pat of the appeal was that, never knowing if it was going to continue or if it would end soon. People had many theories of what would happen, from Randall looping it from the start, to ending at some still frame, to he passing the comic to his descendants to continue it (and he managed to do something nobody predicted).

Now I know that, since it didn't "end" I wasn't spoiled at all, but also, since the "ending" was so sudden and unexpected, most of the people following Time in real time were shocked and appalled of both the way it "ended" and when it "did", and were full of grief and sadness, and, people in the thread keep giving comfort, ice cream and hugs to people just realizing it "ended" and posting in the "present" (as we speak there are still several people reading the Tread from the beginning that don't know yet that it "ended", and are further behind than me.)

By the way, I'm not "keeping up with it slowly", I'm keeping up with it very fast, actually, but I'm keeping up with it ALL, reading every single post with detail, not missing anything, while most other Time followers just skipped entire pages and entire batch of frames, or just skim the posts and read what interests them, but miss everything else, while others just go and read the two last pages posted and others just kept up with the Comic's frames but not the Tread.

Due to the great amount of content created this is a daunting task, I think only 6 people have managed to read it all (at least till Th* *nd) even though it's being followed by hundred of people at some point.

Also, Vytron cares a whole lot (way too much?) about this thing

I don't think I care way too much about it :) - I guess you had to be there, but I can try to explain: Imagine that you're watching a great TV series, and that it's very long and has a great backlog, so you go back to the start, and you make comments about it, and then, when you catch up to the episodes when you arrived, you start appearing in the episodes, and not only that, you become a protagonist of the series.

When you are a big part of it then, yes, I think it's acceptable that you care as much about it as I do, and, I hadn't experienced anything like the Tread online before and I doubt something like that will happen again (unless someone makes a series about me or something :P )

And I'm aware my main reason for following the Tread is mainly egotistical and ego maniac, but even if I wasn't part of it, and followed the Tread as a guest without posting, people there are so caring and creative and awefusome that it's chirping neat and it would have been mustard if I didn't find it, so I can only be grateful for all the seamencoffecancerbaconbabiesonice and hope people keep molpying up for it! :)

dudiobugtron wrote:If it helps, imagine Vytron was watching a replay of a sporting event that he cared a lot about, and ArDeeJ posted the score, and it was a score Vytron didn't like.

Oh, as I admitted on the Tread it was actually relieving that IT "ENDED", as the content to read just kept increasing faster than I could read it, and now it has slowed down to a reasonable rate. Yes, it was about knowing something I didn't want to know, but in retrospective, considering the people didn't know and were slapped by it were then crying in sadness (crying actual tears, not "online crying") and I was saved from that, arguably I can thank ArDeeJ for that, as I could reposition my sadness to the saddest moment on the comic that I was reading at the time, in-story (arguably, the second saddest... I mean, the third. Oh, no, the fourth. Yes, the fourth, unless you like black humor.)

Where was I?

Oh yeah, sorry Tomlidich! I kinda had to post this in here, didn't mean to prove your prediction wrong!

Can I get a flicky?

(And sorry for the Wall of Text, I consistently had the longest average post length on the Tread too!)

Sorry jdj42, I kinda had to answer to this!

Tomlidich the second wrote:vytron, do you recommend reading the time thread? if so, where is a good source to read it from the beginning?

Yes, of course! Reading the thread is highly recommended, as it's also recommended that you post in the thread with your opinion of stuff you've read on the past! If you eventually read everything you will be recognized as a BlitzGirl the Next and will probably be featured in Acts Of The Clerics and related material as it's being created :)

As to where to start, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a place to start without being spoilered or missing something. Unless... I create it right here, yes! Here's the very first frame of time:

Image

And discussion starts here! (don't scroll up as first post contains spoilers about what to expect and a link to a wiki that spoils further)

We're still going strong, it's never too late to be part of it, looking forward to meet you in The Future and perhaps leave you Sigcouragement

Yes, yes, you are mostly correct. No, I mean, you are absolutely correct.

EDIT - Oh, Ninja'd, sorry bouer, I had to reply to Tomlidich D:

Tomlidich the second wrote:dear god, this thread has over 1300 pages!

anyway to get a condensed format?

Aw. The point of the whole thing is to read the whole thing, if you'd rather not experience time but only want to know what "was" it about, you don't even need the Tread for that.

Here's a wiki that condenses it all:

http://xkcd-time.wikia.com/wiki/XKCD_Ti ... _Time_Wiki

It won't be the same, but, yeah, experiencing Time to its full extent may not be for everybody (and that's probably why only about 6 people in the world have done it! I'm still trying to be the 7th)

Going for jdj42 now.
