Alright, seeing as no-one can guess it:

Is the rule that words that don't contain the letter "a" are allowed?

John Citizen wrote:Is the rule that only words that don't contain the letter "a" are allowed?

No. I am bringing a, alphabet, apple and aardvark, banana but not dog, dingo, dirt or yttrium.

Is the rule that only three-letter words are allowed?

John Citizen wrote:Is the rule that only three-letter words are allowed?

No. I am bringing a sandwich, yttrium and dingo, but not dog, the or can.

It should be fairly obvious now.

You may bring "i" and "hate", but not "you".

By the way, is it an "I hate you" because it's obvious now, or an "I hate you" because it's still too difficult?
