Granted, but instead of everyone dying, just you die. Yet you appear smarter because they put your brain in a dog.

I wish for people to walk around in monocles and top hats more frequently.

Granted, but then you start doing so too. This might seem acceptable in a world where this is normal (as you wished for) except you only imagine that people where top hats and monocles. In reality you are just going crazy. So while to you it seems that people do indeed do this, to everyone else, you're just some weird person who wears top hats and monocles all the time. This goes on, your insanity slowly worsening (while to you it just seems like more and more people are wearing top hats and monocles), until one day you simply lose control and start screaming and laughing and flailing around in the middle of a public place. You, of course, think that you are simply having the most wonderful tea party ever. When they put the straitjacket on you, you think that you're just getting a big warm hug that lasts forever. When they put you in the padded cell, you think that they are putting you in a room made of cotton candy. When you try to take off a piece of it, you are dismayed because you can't move your arms. "stop hugging so much!" You cry at your straitjacket. But you, of course, get no response. Meanwhile, all of your friends and family stand outside your cell door, weeping for you, and feeling deep pity, as well as remorse that they didn't find out about your problem sooner and try to get you help before the insanity progressed so far. But, alas, there is nothing that can be done now.

I wish I wasn't so heartless

Granted, you now have a surplus of heart, a cannibal finds out, and eats it.

I wish the scenario you mentioned would really happen! Cept I don't like cotton candy, so that isn't very likely, and I love to hugged and close to people, so the shouting at the straight jacket is also unlikely.
