Yeah, I know, but my Chinese in-laws' authentic errors in English have been mocked so mean-spiritedly in other contexts that I'm uncomfortable with non-Chinese people making such errors deliberately. To me, it feels uncomfortably close to Trump's mocking the gestures of that disabled journalist, for laughs.

Indeed. And the nifty trick to find out if a number is divisible by 3 is to sum the digits and check if that is divisible by 3. (and if that's still hard, sum those digits and check if that is divisible by 3 etc.)
