The Further Meaning Of Liff

Postby RoadieRich » Fri Mar 14, 2008 1:12 am UTC

It would make a great game... Lets see if it works.

Post a made up word, next poster writes a definition, á la Meaning of Liff by Douglas Adams and John Lloyd (check your local library or Amazon).

The only differences are, words do not have to be places (but can be if you wish), and definitions do not have to be common (but they can be).

So, I could post fizwillig, the next poster could say, for example, (n), a certain type of small, green slime, commonly found in armpits.

Please remember the (n), (vb) etc... Pronunciation guides are optional. Because scoring is by me, and is completly arbitrary, Hitchhiker's Guide (or other Adams books) or Freelancer references score bonus points.

I'll start you off with

Scavver.
