I never...

Postby keozen » Wed Sep 05, 2007 8:56 pm UTC

Ok, it works kind of like the drinking game of the same name with less alcohol (sorry).

Someone tells a true line of "I've never [something]"

Then, only someone who HAS done that thing can post the next reply. Try and keep these things in the realms of possibility and probability so the thread doesn't die but make it interesting still. I'll start with an easy one.

This is not an 'offical' reply... but how likely is that in this crowd? *is not familiar with the crowd and thinks of them as mainly nerdy people who almost rarely dates...*

Like me! I've been married for five years now.

I've never been on a flight that lasted over an hour.

I've been on a flight to the US (from NL). Took us 8 hours to get to Columbus, Ohio with via Detroit. :) (And after that it was a 2 hour bus ride to Athens, OH... Nope, that wasn't voluntary, part of my company's training is held on the Ohio University)
We were there for 3 weeks, during the most dull time in Athens, summer holiday. No parties, virtually no students there. The town seemed deserted.

(One of the obvious "I've never" I could use would be "I've never had sex", but figuring the high amounts of geeks here, that would be unfair, severely limiting the amount of participants) :P (and yes, I'm making fun of myself here too)

I have never been ski-ing.

I have, but not very seriously. I broke the one of the bones in my wrist a couple of years ago, I tripped and fell on it - not very exciting really.

I've never been sky-diving (surely somebody here must have)

Hey, in another forum much smaller than this one which I'm on there are at least 3 people who've been skydiving (and it's not a skydiving forum -_-)

SURELY SOMEONE ON HERE'S BEEN SKYDIVING???
i'll accept hang-gliding...
EDIT: I've never been in the air for a reasonably long period of time apart from being on an aeroplane

Could you stretch it to parachuting, too?

No, I've not been parachuting, either, but it's best to extend the boundaries as far as you can in these situations...

I've been paragliding. I was never in the air for a very long time, but I'm gonna say it counts on principle because it's the sort of thing with which you could be in the air every bit as long as hang gliding.

I've never been swimming in the Indian Ocean.
Unless stated otherwise, I do not care whether a statement, by itself, constitutes a persuasive political argument. I care whether it's true.

I have eaten entire watermelons, on multiple occasions. I love the chewable water, especially when it's hot outside.

Even though I like board, card and/or dice games, I have never seriously played D&D.

/offtopic (as I've not played D&D) But I consume multiple watermelons at a time during summer. Big ones.

I played AD&D during lunch in high school. It can be fun unless your DM is an anal retentive detail nazi.

I went through a phase where I wanted a lock of my hair to be blond. (I was 8, and didn't know any better, thought it would make me cooler then other kids in my school... It didn't.)
(This was in the 80s...)

I love baba ghanoush. Grilling eggplant slices is also nifty, because it soaks up the flavor of whatever was just on the grill.

I've never been to Mexico (but that's changing in November).

I've played "I've never" before this, except we used fingers, and for each thing the person has done, had to remove a finger. The game goes on till only one person has fingers left.

Here's an easy one; I've NEVER played WoW. :)

Seems a bit drastic for a game, doesn't it? Did you use wire cutters or a hatchet?

I've played WoW for a bit, but had to stop because of budgetary reasons (and it was eating way too much time).

Ehh, poor explanation -.-. You start with 10 fingers raised, and then lower each finger for the said thing.

I have ridden a horse, for my sister's birthday party.

I have never gone Skinny-dipping before.

I've ridden a horse a couple of times. I'm just glad I wasn't in Soviet Russia.

I've never been to Soviet Russia (or, for the sake of the game, Russia).

I've been skinny-dipping, not only in a sea and a lake, but also in a hotel's indoor swimming pool.

I've never been to Russia, so I guess that one still stands.
