Search function problem

I tried searching the forum for topics/posts containing "MK Ultra", and the search function refused to recognize the term "MK", even after putting a + in front of it.
Is there a way around this or am I going to have to just wade through all of the topics containing the word "Ultra"?

For public forums, you can append "site:forums.xkcd.com" like so.

I see. I hadn't even thought to use Google instead of the XKCD search function, serves me right for thinking in the box.
Thanks!

If you're talking about Project MKULTRA... it's one word. And searchable on the forums.

SpiritOfRock may well be referring to the Muse song MK Ultra, which is spelt with the space. Perhaps topical, with Muse having just released the official London Olympics song.

I wasn't, although I do like that song, and it's probably the reason I misspelled MKUltra.

The (bad) forum search function has a minimum word size. I've already lowered it from the default IIRC but given it's implementation including 2 letter words is unreasonable. Mind you the DB it's self has a fairly decent text search engine built in ...
