Get an in-door hot tub. Only when it's summer, turn off the heat. And when winter comes around, turn on the heat. Make sure to get one with bubbles and jets though for added enjoyment. I've seen a little CL and a little Scheme (in fact I started that MIT book a while ago), and I'd have to say I'd go for Scheme if any of those. But yeah, I like Python a lot better (and sometimes Java, but not so much especially when I can use Jython).

Does it give you an error when you try to run it, or does it just run and produce no output?

It might be the executable is in the same directory, and you're trying to run it directly. Usually you'll have to do "./file" to actually run it.
