Re: Gaming in 2013: WiiU/XBoxNext/PS4/PCs/Steambox/Ouya

I've pretty much become a pc gamer now. The only thing I have an Xbox for is Halo, so I'm kinda feeling left out. Even if Steam makes a box so I can Steam in my living room it doesn't affect me, as I only Steam in my bedroom to begin with. D:

Right, because that's how games work. I mean, SC2 is absolutely nothing but maths based on imperfect information (Since you can't see the whole map, same as in DotA/LoL). What point were you trying to make with that statement?

It's more like a typical Bond film than Casino Royale was. One of the things I enjoyed about it was that it felt like it harkened back a little bit more to the way older Bond films were without sacrificing the modernity introduced in Casino Royale.

No, I spoke of depth. Do you need me to define accessibility for you? By the way, what's a situation where being able to deny lets you make a strategic decision? Every single time it's available. Are you choosing to deny over getting a last hit, if you're a melee character is the creep in a good po...

Went 35/0 with Riki last night. Made some Russians very mad, and had the one guy on our team who didn't know me telling me it was "like playing with a pro." (It wasn't though, I only had 94 last hits).

I read this title as: "A German man is determined to become a victim of extraordinary rendition" and was quite confused for a while. But this is good news. Especially since the so-called "European Court of Human Rights" is generally a court of rubber-stamping whatever new abuse ...

Unfortunately, these are the kind of things that crop up when you're writing an article at 2am and your copyeditor doesn't do a proper proofread. You can bet I'll be doing heavier proofreading/editing of my own work in the future to avoid run-on sentences and repetitive phrases.

When does the game get fun to play? I've been playing for several hours now, and am still basically just playing tutorials, or walking for thirty seconds to another two minute cut-scene. It's starting to grate, and making me not want to play. Currently part-way through Sequence Five.

It'd be like bitching that DotA 2 sucks because I can't solo and get a good team every game. Some games are built around the team interplay, and only get really good when you have a consistent group to play with.

It is literally impossible to have more actions than QoS, on account of how QoS had the normal action scenes and then some more action where the exposition should go.

As ever in team games, the real trick to getting a high rank is to find four other people to play with. If you're going to play PUGs then you're likely going to have to get good at covering everyone else's weakness.
