Yeah basically the Soul Arrows were faster and homed more accurately, so you were pretty much bound to using a bow of some sort if you were solo.

I think there's only one, but that's only if we try to circumnavigate the Atlantic or the Indian Ocean. Oddly enough we don't need the die for the Arctic Ocean.
