Re: The Gojoe Memorial Mafia Discussion Thread

PyPokemon @Sabrar Not specifically directed at Sabrar. I just needed a plausible reason to post in Gojoe. So one of the mafia managed to get chat with the traiter, and then we both convinced each other that we were town. The lost potential... Unfortunately, even I think SirGabriel is the other mafia...

Re: PyPokemon 2 [Day 1: Kanto's Courage]

Panic mode. I don't have time to do a full analysis and this may be my last post before the deadline. At least one, perhaps two, scum is voting for Sabrar. adnapemit- First to vote. Voted because Sabrar's analysis of dimochka's claim showed a lack of research. This feels weak, as Sabrar stated in hi...

Re: PyPokemon 2 [Day 1: Kanto's Courage]

I apologize for being absent during these crucial hours. I really just read Mason and thought it was independent from your pokemon role. I'm not clever enough to come up with a gambit like that. Likewise, you could have taken advantage of my confusion and gotten my role in the next message , so I be...

EBWOP Don't think I've said this in this game yet, but I'm going to be away for the next couple of days until Sunday evening, so I don't know if I'll get time to post for the next 48 hours or so. Re: PyPokemon 2 [Day 1: Kanto's Courage]

I was skeptical of trying to guess anyone's chosen role based on patterns in their rejections. For instance, SirGabriel and adnapemit guessed that I chose a psychic pokemon based on Delphox and Gardevoir, when they were simply my favorite party members from Y and Alpha Sapphire, respectively. With t...

Re: PyPokemon 2 [Day 1: Kanto's Courage]

Regarding the rejected role claims, I don't think the actual role matters very much, at least until we have reason to believe someone has lied. There are many reasons scum could truthfully throw out a scummy role and town could reject a strong town role. And trying to discuss all these possibilities...

Re: The Gojoe Memorial Mafia Discussion Thread

PyPokemon So. I'm a Traitor, aligned with mafia. I don't know who my mates are. Sabrar is apparently a Mason, and has chosen me to be his partner. I just posted my "rejected" pokemon in the thread, but I actually did choose Delphox. The ability is exactly as I described. I have onl...

Re: PyPokemon 2 [Day 1: Kanto's Courage]

I rejected Gardevoir and Delphox. Delphox has the ability to night kill someone in the future. For example, on N1 I could target a player for N4 and they would be killed on N4. However, I wouldn't be able to use a night action two nights in a row. I rejected it because I probably wouldn't make a ver...

I think giving anyone a chance to lie is asking for trouble. Scum will likely use that as an opportunity to add confusion. Revealing only one of your rejected roles is preferable to that.

Re: PyPokemon 2 [Day 1: Kanto's Courage]

I'm up for it, if no one objects. It gives us a good idea of what powers might be in play. Setup speculation. The last game I played also had 9 players: 2 mafia and 2 weak power roles. Assuming that was balanced, there are probably fewer town because of the stronger power roles this time. - 6 town, ...

Re: Alternating 9P Mafia - D2 - Milla Vanilla

Why did you expect there to be a counter-claim? Normally it's best to assume that a PR claim is genuine until counter claimed. Sabrar has already gone into great detail as to why we should believe that afh is the real doctor. Secondly why vote while there isn't a counter claim? If a counter claim a...

Re: Alternating 9P Mafia - D1 - Mob justice

If scum counterclaimed when a real PR was about to get lynched, wouldn't they seal it (with our current MO)? I'm still convinced townsfolk should just go down silently, not even claiming under early pressure (which would be more believable than at the last second). No claim, no problems, such as sc...

Here's an easy one. Mathilda posted an excellent analysis of how each person's content is guiding the overall discussion.
