Cut a small door out of the barrier, then have a large pipe to pipe them down into containers, probably the easiest way of getting them out. Then you just wash them any way possible, I guess.

Isn't, uh, that what's meant to happen...? =P

You click "Install Now", the addons window pops up saying to restart Firefox in a yellow bar at the top. You don't go through the usual installation process for most addons, only certain ones like DownThemAll have an independent installer.
