As far as I understand things, the null-continue objects are there to tell the garden to stop growing extensions (bird-riser, flower-segment...) there, and start growing endings (flowers, birds...)

Looking through the image list (garden.linden.imgCache.imgs in the javascript console), the big balloon is called balloon-huge , so I'm going to guess it's meant to be that big. On Opera 12, I get the proper xkcd favicon when viewing user profiles, but the zimbra favicon 1 when viewing threads or posting (most of the time, I haven't yet figured out a pattern; could be caching issues) 1 Which is an additional layer of WTF, since I haven't used the thing with Opera in ages...
