Re: Stuff that pisses {you, me} off

I hate people who will shun a band because it sounds "too mainstream" or give their albums bad reviews because other people love them. Seriously people, grow the fuck up. It doesn't matter if umpteen-zillion people cream their pants over these bands nightly, are they good or not (realizing...

Actually, I'd never heard anything by Clutch before.

Kind of tells you how much win the song is made of if I absolutely loved it on the first listen, eh?

I'm really curious about what people thought of my mix. Comments plz? MJ: I liked yours. Drink to the Dead was a seriously great song to start it with, got me into it right away. I still have to download a few of these. I also have a question/idea. How's this going to work? Are we just going to rand...

Rambo (79%) gets up and removes the knife from between his ribs; the blade nicks a lung on the way out (-5%). He throws the knife over his shoulder, catching Stilgar in the ass (-10% and the ability to sit).

Considering I'm not a fan of Tarja at all, I think this is a biiiiig improvement.

I like what I've heard (only Amaranth) a lot more than what I've heard of Tarja's (Oceanborn).

Re: Your relationship status?

My relationship status is kind of... odd.

Simply put, there is a girl. We like each other a lot. We just don't live in the same city (she's 8 hours away, approx.) and so we kind of don't get to see each other in person... ever?

So, we're kind of in waiting until we can see each other more readily.

I've never taken an American history course, so it kind of makes me wonder how I knew what I did (ie, constitution written in 1787 and stuff like that).

Often, the passive voice sounds a lot more indirect, a lot less vivid and and can necessitate clumsy structures or rhythms. E.g., What I've read on the subject seems to agree with this. The only teacher I've ever had who opposed the passive voice did so because it was a writing class and she wanted...
