Re: Senator John Cornyn's "Big John" ad

Never mind the fact that he was born in the 4th largest city in the country, and lived in big cities his entire life, He's a cowboy! The sad part of all this is that there really are alot of people out there who will buy into the whole "Cowboy doing the lords work for Texas in D.C." messag...

McGriddles. I don't care what anyone says, they are the most delicious item you can get at any fast food place anywhere. They are also the single most unhealthy item on McDonald's menu (which is saying quite a bit). However, I love them.

As for food, dehydrated stuff like fruit leathers and jerky will work, but you can cook too if you want. I have a stove called the "Pocket Rocket" (I'm not exactly sure if that's the real name) which I bought from REI a few years ago. It's a nice little thing that will cook very quickly, ...

I'm loving how I can find people like GonzoMcFonzo who will just rail on people who make tequila into the mockery it continues to fight tooth and nail to be in this country. It's one of the more elegant spirits out there and its reputation as undrinkable rotgut inexplicably seems to persist. Oh, I ...

So, as soon as I saw this thread title, I had a great joke ready, but Asad beat mt to it :) More on topic, I favor slightly more earthy flavors over sweetness, so I tend to drink more Tequila and gin than anything else, though I do have a soft spot for a good dark rum, and can appreciate any good li...

This is way too close to call. The first time I read anyhting by any of them was in 4th grade, and in the interviening decade they've significantly shaped my whole worldview. I'm not going to be able to pick just one. It's a tie between Asimov and Heinlein, with clarke a close third. I think Heinlei...

Stuff. It's the creation of a local bar, and AFAIK, thats the only place that actually sells it. Start with ground beef, add taco seasoning (which I think ruins tacos, but is delicious here), tomatoes, onions and bacon. Then cover the whole thing in cheese. Then cover the whole thing in white gravy ...

20Km? where the hell did you get that? All of my numbers for Star Wars were taken either from the official site or high level official reference materiels (e.g. The Incredible Cross-Sections books).
