Red Beans and Rice, (barely) adapted from Cynthia MacGregor's Cook-Ahead Cookbook This makes an enormous quantity, as you are meant to be able to freeze a bunch of portions to re-heat another day for a quick dinner. Either make sure you use a large skillet with high edges, or halve the recipe to mak...

Length of Admissions Essays

I'm applying to a post-bac pre-med program and they ask for a "Personal Statement" which they specify should not exceed 3 double-spaced pages. I'm at about a page and a half right now, and I'm of the mind that brevity is a good thing-- admissions people probably hate having to slog through...

I'd like to try to make regular pastry, it can't be that hard. But that's not why I'm posting here: I'd like people's recipes for beany things to put in burritos / wraps. There are key differences, but the first book is nearly the same as the first season. And I am sure that the second, third, and fourth get away from the plot of the book. And Cody and Astor have a dark passenger as well. Augh! Oh no! I thought you were spoilering something from the TV series so I w...

Yeah, but hard copies are so cumbersome and prone to damage. And they also tend to cost close to $1 per song and you can't make playlists on your cd/record player.

Planning on checking out some of these suggestions this week, thanks guys!

How about a big roast of some kind? Depending on what you roast it could get a bit more expensive, but you get to just prep it and throw it in the oven (and you can roast veggies along with it for a side). No worries about assembling 40 servings of something.
