Bit of a mixed bag.

China is, for instance, a huge shoe market. The fact that they are also a major shoe manufacturer and exporter does not diminish that.

Re: Doctor Whom

I can't even imagine the wailing if that happened, especially from me. Thought it was interesting that the big line from the trailer, "Great men are forged in fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame" was somewhat subverted. I assumed that the War Doctor was the great man...

Re: Doctor Whom

I agree with others, we can't go re-numbering because of this. Smith is 11. Hurt is supernumerary, the War Doctor, the Warrior, 8.5... Also, I got no sense of Hurt as being TEH WAR DOCTOR, capable of doing unforgivable things that the other doctors could never possibly bring themselves to do. I thin...

Re: Doctor Whom

Okay, here’s an idea. There is very strong mail that Tom Baker is going to be in this, due to CGI and old footage with new voicework. Maybe 8.5 will go back and do what 4 wouldn’t do in Genesis of the Daleks, and destroy them before they begin.

Re: Doctor Whom

On the issue of referring to The Doctor as Doctor Who, I think that it is fine in a headline etc, for brevity.

Note that there was a serial called "Doctor Who and the Silurians", strongly implying that the authors were referring to The Doctor by that name.

Re: Doctor Whom

Why did Eccleston have to be such a party pooper? Filming 12 episodes couldn't have been that traumatic, could it? Does seem odd. I mean Tom Baker refused to be in The Five, but I mean he had had 8 years of it, 173 episodes. Eckythump could have asked for quite a tidy sum of money for basically a c...

There would be chemical changes under such high pressures, as higher density compounds become more energetically favourable. Both of these wou...

I'll admit that having Kirk on the mission didn't make that much sense. My impression was that it was kind of an off-the-books, irregular mission ( involving, as it did, an execution without trial in Klingon space) that someone who went strictly by the books would not be willing to carry out. I...
