Stuff about flaming and being dicks. So the other day I was playing against some Z player, and anyway, I get pretty far behind, he crushes my main/nat and has ultras running around in there, but I'm sitting in the gold and taking the 4 O'clock main (on metal, I started in the 8 O'Clock main with hi...

Last night 2 gold Ts and a plat T (2 of them never ranked in 3v3 before) went and placed into masters in 3v3s. I know it's a less common format...

Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

Unit testing map seems to indicate that. Terrible shame. Broodlords can't get out of pdd range at relevant speed, ravens are indeed a bit op against them. Pdds usually force a "retreat or fight" decision; and since BLs can't retreat, well, it's a bit imbalanced. They still do damage, so i...

What Zergs should be actually scared of is Ravens. PDD blocks Hydras, Mutas, Corruptors and Broods. What else are you going to shoot at them with while they seeker missile everything? Yet I haven't seen much of it. I never tested this, but -apparently- an undocumented change in the latest patch is ...

Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

I have a question. Let's say I have a siege tank in siege mode, then whack a missile turret next to it How would someone (of each race) beat that? Siege tanks by themselves are kinda bad. Zerg: a few lings. once you close with the tank it can't fire on them any more. Otherwise maybe 3-4 roaches. Te...

Did anyone watch the TSL finals?

Because that was such an epic Bo7. Better than all of those GSL finals you're complaining about. Thorzain's hold against a 6-gate timing with no scouting in game 6 was just crazy.

Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

Yeah, it's specifically early marauder heavy bio that's been giving me headache when I 1 rax. They frequently have concussive shells, which does quite a number on whatever marines I have, and any mech I scramble is generally too little, too late. And bunkers are fairly weak against marauders with t...

I'm really enjoying going for heavy mech play at the moment, and have discovered it's usually fairly safe to go 1 rax expand in TvT at this level. The point is, you should not have to be vastly more competent than your opponent to stand a chance. Think of handicap chess. You can win, but it is not balanced. The player with the better strategy wins. It's what the game is . Idra needs to show that Zerg strategies are either dominated by terran ...

Sometimes I mess up and get near supply cap and I'll call down supplies to help relieve the cap, but I feel like I'm probably wasting a good mule. Mule: 270ish minerals. Supplies: beh. I've come to the realization that going bio-cloaked banshees is the way to deal with colossus-eager protoss. Having an extra in-base orbital command early on is something I've seen from a few pros recently, notably TOP in the GSTL and Strelok in the TSL.
