Re: Firearms Regulations

The ideas I've seen proposed would have safeguards against abuse. Mainly that it would require consent of the person being checked, and that the result would be 'pass/fail', no other information would be communicated to the seller besides whether or not the buyer is legally able to purchase a firearm.

I'm not sure I would have a problem with the idea of digitizing the existing records into a searchable database, or even centralizing the dealer's records into the database (if nothing else, it would take the burden off the individual dealers, and a 4473 'web form' could facilitate a non-burdensome ...

Consider the Bureaus to be in early alpha testing currently. Probably only one of the Bureaus is findable using only the existing clues, one or two others may be findable with additional context that a few server residents besides myself have. Re: The Darker Side of the News

It had nothing to do with Net Neutrality, if anything, it illustrates that Net Neutrality doesn't do anything to address many of the most predatory aspects of the telecom oligopolies and that perhaps a different approach is needed.

Trump is just the latest asshole in charge of a broken system. The first step in fixing it is recognizing that Trump isn't special or unique in his awfulness, except perhaps in magnitude, and that the actual problem is systemic and institutional. Getting rid of Trump isn't going to fix things unles...

I wouldn't call any government that does the kinds of things the U.S. government has been doing for decades 'very good'. Better than many alternatives sure, but not 'good', and definitely not 'very good'.

Yea, despite my criticisms, I actually kinda liked Solo, I think I liked it better than Rogue One. I'm always a fan of Fire Bombs + Shield Bypass if you can get it. The enemy AI in Battletech seems fine to me.
