There has been talk of setting up an xkcd server in the past, but I'm not sure what came of it. Re: Team Fortress 2

http://www.teamfortress.com/spyupdate/

Meet the Spy is out, in glorious HD. Nice to see Valve is taking the leak with good humor. Also, Spy achievement names and icons are out. No descriptions yet, although it's self-evident from some of them. Looks like the knife taunt might become a killtaunt.

Edit: As of this writing, the video still shows up on YouTube, though you can't watch it. Search for 'tf2 spy' and sort by newest.

Re: Team Fortress 2

So, assuming Valve doesn't put out update pages this weekend, there are three updates left: just enough for the revolver, kukri, and knife replacements. Does this mean no Meet the Team video or hats?

Re: Team Fortress 2

Well played, Valve. As a career Spy, I quite like the look of the Cloak and Dagger. Of course, that will vary depending on regeneration rate while cloaked - if cloak just doesn't degrade, or actually regenerates.

Eh, I'd just switch to the revolver. 2-3 shots at point-blank range, and I could probably get off at least two before they can react.

Robin Walker clarified it - if you kill someone with it while they're next to a wall, the arrow will pin their ragdoll there, just like the crossbow in HL2.

Actually, according to the official site, it does get its directions from nerves - it contains non-invasive electrical sensors that detect and interpret nerve impulses as they pass by them to the muscles. It then uses this data to direct the suit.

I don't know. Deliberately putting arcane power such as his in the hands of archfiends... it's kind of like handing a sword to someone you know is going to kill someone with it.

Re: Team Fortress 2

The viable backstab arcs have been tightened up. The backstab animation has been sped up massively - it's now faster than the normal stab animation. However, it looks like the normal stab anims don't register as backstabs any longer, so flickstabs and stairstabs got nerfed.

A moon base would make an excellent launch pad for further stellar exploration. Escaping its gravity is just basically a hop, and could probably be done on solar power alone. How much money and effort goes into getting our vehicles out of the atmosphere?
