Re: Rant Thread (because we need more ranting)

In this day and age, people still think it's acceptable to use the n-word to refer to black people? And I'd get in trouble for re-educating them? What the hell?

Re: Confessional Shed - I'll keep a look-out

I was seriously considering murder as a cure for someone's altogether vile behavior this morning. I'm sorry, you don't get to use the word 'nigger' profusely and claim to not be racist. Not the least of their sins, but not the greatest either. I compromised between my desire to punish them and my de...

I got steel-toes after my foot almost got crushed by a three-jaw lathe chuck that had been stored improperly by someone else. Northern California is like Northern Wisconsin, no one gives half a shit.

(This joke was originally going to say it was like Northern England, but then someone else complained about people's perceptions of England so I made it relevant to me as a Wisconsinite.)

As long as they don't reduce it below ambient pressure, more barrel is always going to be better than less barrel. Ignoring actual interference with the bullet, like you might get with wipes.

Well now, a silencer (I choose to use the term silencer for historical reasons. The first was named the Maxim silencer.) will not actually reduce the velocity of the round. I mean, it'll be less than if that entire length was real barrel, but more than if you just chopped it off before the silencer....
