Re: An uneasy ease of mind

Hmm. I experience something similar sometimes which I tend to refer to as "the vertigo of being". Occasionally I become acutely aware that I am , and this creates a sense of terror which is not dissimilar to peering over the edge of a large precipice. I've never correlated this feeling par...

Re: Screechings of the Great Unwashed (Meander to the Morgue

As someone who struggles with telling apart cars, I vote strongly against all cars being the same colour. Why not inverse the colour of the roads? Reflective fluorescent stripes across a car? Pedestrians with headlights? There are plenty of other solutions...

Re: Screechings of the Great Unwashed (Meander to the Morgue

I don't like having my birthday date on facebook for similar reasons. I used to not have it up, but I realised that a lot of people who are actually my friends use facebook for remembering stuff like that, so if I took it down it would just make their life harder and make everyone feel bad. Question for ladies in the thread who menstruate and are not on any kind of hormonal contraceptives: Do you spot when you ovulate? The last two months in a row, I have spotted a tiny amount for a day or two, right in the middle of my cycle. It's brownish/pinkish (not red, like menstrual blood), and...

Re: [SAFESPACE] Woman Thread - All Things Women. Period.

@Sungura, it does last a lot longer than shaving, but not as long as waxing. I seem to remember being good for around 7 - 10 days. I generally use it as a quick fix if I'm on holiday and can't afford to pay someone to wax me (which at the moment, is all the time). Once you have the hang of it, it is...

I use them from time to time. Not as effective as waxing but less painful. Kind of fun to watch in action if you're a little nerdy :D I find it a bit annoying, as you have to cover yourself in cream and wait around awkwardly trying not to touch anything for a while. That's exactly what I want these games for. We're running a remote Apocalypse World game, and in theory it runs every fortnight, but a small core of the regular players are generally up for running (or at least hanging out) every week. I figure it would be a good idea to stock up on some quick and f...

When I had it, I basically had a minor period. That was with a copper IUD. Probably about 4 - 6 days of medium to light bleeding, and a lot of cramping. Settled down after that, though. Your mileage may vary, and all that. It seems understandable that this kind of thing would induce a period, especi...

So, I really want to play a decent side-scrolling platform game. I don't want it to be too complicated. Ideally, there should be at most two actions, which should include jump (possibly double jump) and maybe, if we're feeling fancy, hitting things. I am also not after an "oh god, this is so pa...
