Re: [SAFESPACE] Woman Thread - All Things Women. Period.

I took Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for about a year starting at the end of 2005. I gained about 35 pounds in 2-3 months. But I also LOST weight on Depo Provera, and have PCOS, so I don't know that I'm a good example of anything.

They didn't knock me out, or give me anything beyond novocaine. I had pretty easy, straightforward extractions - nothing impacted or anything, but I was still in a lot of pain once the novocaine wore off (after I had walked about a mile home from the oral surgeon), and they hadn't given me any presc...

Re: [SAFESPACE] Woman Thread - All Things Women. Period.

My mom is menopausing right now, and she has been complaining about horrible hot flashes for a few years. She hates going to the doctor and such, but she went on HRT recently because she was so desperate to make them stop. It seems that menopause sucks. She never had a growth spurt of boobs, though ...

I'm pregnant, and I'm finding that the /r/babybumps community on Reddit is pretty great. I lurk on Babycenter, and it is...not great. Also, offbeatfamilies.com is wonderful, but it's not really a forum, more like articles and blags and pictures that people respond to sometimes.

I'm by no means an expert, but basically, I think it looks nice when more colorful items that will be slightly shown (at the neck, or out the bottom, or at the sleeves, for instance) go underneath more neutral items. Like...a hot pink camisole underneath a black cardigan. Or an orange long-sleeved t...
