That's called elision. It's one of the reasons why trying to eliminate an accent is very, very hard.

Re: Why do some people have multiple cellphones?

Ringtones are incredibly annoying, no exceptions. And they're like that so that you actually answer it. Also: what I do is quickly open then shut the phone when I don't want to talk to someone. It's like picking up then immediately hanging up. Most cellphones have a 'silence' option for turning off...

I have RE4 on the Wii (picked it up around its launch and traded in my GC copy for it), but I haven't played it in a few months. Game is absolutely amazing, though. You're having an emotional affair with her. 20. Don’t bother with “emotional affairs.” They are just a vehicle for women to flirt and have someone make them feel good about themselves. That’s the part of a relationship they want. For you it is a lot of work and investment in time. If they are having...

When I close my eyes and rub them I can see vast stone surfaces – surfaces too great to belong to any thing right or proper for this earth. An abnormal, non-Euclidean place, and loathsomely redolent of spheres and dimensions apart from ours.

I liked Pride and Prejudice... but then, I didn't have to write a paper about its symbolism.

Of the books I had to read for school I remember that I disliked Cien Años de Soledad by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I don't remember why though.
