Re: 988: "Tradition"

The music to What Child Is This is based on Greensleeves, probably the oldest song known that still survives! Greensleeves really isn't that old. Considering the development of the English language itself it can't be much older than Chaucer, if even that old. And it wasn't (known) to have been put ...

Re: 0887: "Future Timeline"

So what you're trying to say is, that while right now much more people are being born then die, this might change if the birth rate keeps going down? First of all, the population of the world is still on the increase. The smoothing of that curve hasn't started yet. If it does, there will still be a...

Re: 0887: "Future Timeline"

Or maybe you are a fool who can't see the underlying principle. Which is that resources aren't endless. No, Malthus' 200 year old theory and predictions aren't valid anymore and some never were. Oh, fertility is declining, is it? Great, we'll never need to worry again about millions of people in wa...

Re: 0887: "Future Timeline"

Not that I am taking any of these predictions serious, but... Granting immortality to people is completely irresponsible! Have you guys never heard of Malthus and the principles of population? I'm thinking, as a compromise, you can become immortal, but only if you have your balls chopped off (/ovar...

Re: 0879: "Lamp"

That's what grosses people out? A strip about ejaculation? Have you been to hte rest of hte internet? Some people need to chill out and appericiate hte fact that people with ann intellect such as Mewtwo's can loosen up and enjoy some toilet humor once in a while. I raise your generic "chill ou...

Re: 0873: "FPS Mod"

This actually reminds me of the controversial game "1378" where people take on the roles of East Germans either guarding the border or fleeing the country. It forced people to make the moral choice of choosing to shoot unarmed innocents or put themselves (and by extension their families) a...

Re: 0860: "Never Do This"

And, if you think of it in the secular point of view, by having sex with someone who has been promiscuous, you are doing every guy she's been with (ya, gross.) To be blunt, that's chauvinist nonsense. Once the male gametes "die" ("cease motility" technically, as they don't count...

Re: 0860: "Never Do This"

Of all the bodily fluids out there Urine is the cleanest I can think of. The ammonia content tends to be fairly hostile to bacteria. the ammonia content in human urine is almost nonexistent, there's urea instead of it. and by the way there are bacteria that absorb nitrogen and convert it to ammonia...

"Don't hesitate to let me know when you are in fact lactating!" You'll know for sure when a baby bursts head first through her vagina. Wait for a few days and voila. True story. Other than that, Mr. Munroe is officially on a roll. Go go Randall :D You have that backward. Lactation begins ...

Re: "All the Girls" Discussion (#770)

I think people are being too conspiratorial about this. This isn't some dark foreboding of imminent break-up when the first hotter thing walks by, it's a rational perspective on relationships vs. a romantic perspective. My wife has on several occasions expressed a sort of 'romantic fatalist' perspec...
