I need a free VPN or proxy

Hi All, I'l visiting China soon (like, in a day), and it just occurred to me that I wont be getting any facebook or youtube while I'm there unless I do something about it. Some cursory searches turned up VPNs as a good alternative, or proxy servers, which are less reliable but usually free. Does any...

Re: San Francisco judge removes circumcision ban from ballot

Everyone agrees that circumcision is a surgery though, right? Does nobody care that any surgery carries significant risk of infection? Especially when the area being operated on is bundled into a diaper the vast majority of the time? Even if we assume that circumcision has no long term detriments or...

Re: UK Court Bans Man with Low IQ from Sex

A much better way of looking at the issue is this: You are not allowed to hurt others. You're allowed to hurt yourself though, so if I want to buy cigarettes knowing they will kill me, I am allowed to do so. But a small kid can't understand this. So if I sell them cigarettes, they are not making th...

Re: Parents ask court to allow use of dead son's sperm

So, did the dead guy have a partner or not? I can't quite tell from the article. I'd think that if he had a romantic partner (married or not), then it's their decision and definitely not the parents. If not then I guess the parents do have ownership rights... it does make me uncomfortable though. Pe...

Re: 200GB to 25GB: Canada gets first, bitter dose of metered

Well, looking at this from a student household - 3 people sharing internet, no cable. It's not that hard to hit 100GB a month. 200 is plenty to spare, but with students that are 5 or 6 people per house 25GB is a joke, that's about 5 days worth of internet maybe. I was on a ~$35 plan before with a 20...
